Das Thema von "The three muses" ist timepiece.

Ich habe diesmal nichts zum Thema gemalt sondern eine Uhr aus Buchseiten gemacht, sozusagen eine dreidimensionale Kollage.

Ich wünsche denen die es feiern ein schönes Halloween.

This time I didn´t paint a picture but made a clock out of bookpages. So it´s a kind of three- dimensional collage if you want.

Times they are a changing

Hallo ihr Lieben,

wie Bob Dylan in seinem alten Hit schon richtig gesungen hat, ändern sich die Zeiten. Aber eben nicht nur

die, sondern mit ihnen ändern sich auch die Uhren.

Jedenfalls bei mir.

Ich hatte doch tatsächlich immer noch meine Winteruhr auf dem Kaminsims stehen. Da nächsten Sonntag

der Frühling anfängt, wurde es höchste Zeit, eine neue Uhr zu machen.

Mein Albert ist zwar der Meinung, dass sie eher wie eine Herbstuhr daherkommt, aber das macht nichts, denn auch der kommt noch früh genug und einen Zauberwald gibt es zu jeder Jahreszeit. Da kommt mir grade eine gute Idee für eine Halloween- Uhr ( hihihi).
Tja Freunde, wem die Stunde schlägt.

Hello my friends,

As Bob Dylan sung so right in his old song, the times are changing. But not just the times but the clocks too.

At least at my place.

I actually had still my winter clock on the mantelshelfe.

For the summer begins next sunday it was about time to create a new clock.

My Albert means it looks like an atumn- clock, but I don´t mind. Autumn will come early enough and a magical- forrest can be at all seasons.

Oh I think I just had a good idea for an halloween- clock (tee hee hee).

Yes my friends, for whom the bell tolls.

Eine Uhr und ein Brief / A clock and a letter

Hallo ihr Lieben,

Eigentlich hatte ich letztes Wochenende vor etwas zu nähen, aber erstens kommt es anders, zweitens als man denkt.

Ich habe mich von dem hölzernen Boden einer Käseschachtel und einer Zigareenkiste dazu inspirieren lassen, mir eine Kaminuhr zu machen. Ich brauchte nur noch ein wenig Holz, Leim, Farbe und Firniss und natürlich ein Uhrwerk.

Das ganze hat mir viel Spaß gemacht. Und da es eine so winterliche Uhr geworden ist, muß ich im Frühling wohl eine neu machen (hehehe)

Heute hatte ich eine ganz besonders hübsche Überraschung in der Post. Ich hatte vor ein par Wochen ein Bild von Lola Montez gemalt. Unter anderem hat mir Christine von A daily postcard etwas sehr interessantes geschrieben. Sie war in Lolas letztem Haus in Californien und nun hat sie mir eine Postkarte eben dieses Hauses, eine weitere von einem Lola-Gemälde und eine ihrer Heimatstadt Portland geschickt.

Das ist so lieb und ich hab mich super darüber gefreut.

Ich liebe das Bloggen und Euch alle.

Hello my friends,

Last weekend I wanted to make some sewing but ase we say in Germany : "First- it comes different.

Second- As one thinks." 

Instead of sewing I was inspired by a cigar- box and the bottom of a cheese- box to make myself a mantel-clock. All I needed was a little wood, glue, paint, varnish and of cause a clockwork. This was really fun to do and for it is such a seasonal clock I think I have to make a new one in spring (hehehe).

Today I had a wonderful surprise in my mailbox. A few weeks ago I posted a painting I made of Lola Montez. I got a very interesting reply by Christine of A daily postcard, who visited Lolas last house in California. Now she had send me a postcard of this house, one of a portrait of Lola and another one of her hometown Portland in Oregon.

That was so sweet. I jumped up and down full of joy.

I love blogging and I love you all.

So, have a nice day tomorrow. In Germany the 6. of December is  St. Nikolaus Day, he brings sweets for the children in a big sack. If you want some, put a boot infront of the door this night, tomorrow it will be full

if you were a well- behaved girl or boy, or it will be gone. I think that depends on where you live (hihi)
