Good night sleep tight



 Hallo meine Lieben,
was mich angeht, ich liebe es zu schlafen. Ich bin ein echtes Murmeltier,
ich träume viel und lebhaft und kann mich häufig an meine Träume erinnern.
Als ich ein Kind war, konnte ich im Traum fliegen. Das war wunderschön, dann wurde ich erwachsen und habe das Fliegen verlernt. Doch ich gebe die Hoffnung nicht auf, das der Traum vom Fliegen wiederkommt.

Speaking about myselfe, I love to sleep. I can sleep like a log.
I dream a lot and I dream very lively and very often I can remember my dreams. When I was a child, I could fly in my dreams. This was wonderful, but then I grew up and unlearnd flying.
But I am still hopefull, that one day the dream of flying comes back.

IF- Toy

Liebe Freunde,

bei Inspiration- Friday ist das Thema der Woche "Spielzeug",

Das ist ein wundervolles Thema, das uns alle zurück in unsere Kindheit führt,

als Teddy unser Freund und Seelentröster war.

Ich habe meinen Teddy tatsächlich immer noch, und hüte ihn wie einen Schatz.

Was soll ich sagen, ich bin halt sentimental.

Das Bild ist mit Acrylfarben auf 20 x 20 cm Leinwand gemalt, die Blumen am oberen Rand sind aus Collagepapier.

Inspiration- Friday has a great subject this week, "Toys"

It is great because it leads us back to our childhood, wenn our teddy- bear was our best pal and comforter.

Actually, I still treasure my teddy- bear. What should I say? I am sentimental!

My entry is painted on 20 x 20 cm canvas with acrylic paint. The flowers  are from collge- paper.

 

Ich zeig euch hier auch noch eins von meinen älteren Bildern, das auch zum Thema passt.

Auch dieses Bild ist mit Acrylfarben auf Leinwand gemallt.

Wir sollten unser inneres Kind mal öfter fragen, ob es zum Spielen nicht rauskommen mag.

Aber ich glaube, sie hätte gern noch mehr zum anziehen.

IF- time / Die drei Lebensalter - the three ages of life

Hallo meine Lieben.
Dies ist mein Beitrag zum Wochenthema von Illustration Friday mit dem Titel "Time".
Ich habe mich dabei von der keltischen Mythologie und der Erdgöttin Bridgid inspirieren lassen, die oft in einer Art Dreieinigkeit in verschiedenen Lebensaltern dargestellt wird, als Mädchen, reife Frau und weise Alte.
Was zeigt besser den Verlauf der Zeit?

Ich habe dafür Röhren halbiert, auf  Holzplatten angebracht und mit Leinwand überzogen, und mit Acrylfarbe bemalt.
Die Form bringt eine besondere Plastizität hervor .
Ich habe die drei Bilder untereinander arrangiert und durch Holzleisten verbunden.
Metallfüße vervollständigen das Objekt.
Es ist ca. 100 cm hoch und steht nun auf meiner Fensterbank.
Ich hoffe ihr habt eine gute Zeit und ein schönes Wochenende.

Hello my friends.
this is my entry for this weeks Subjekt of Illustration Friday  "Time".
I have been inspired by the celtic Mythologie and the Earth- Godess Bridgid. She is often shown as  a Kind of trinity. As young girl, mature woman and wise old.
Time can´t be showend better.

I cutted pipes into half and and fixed them on wooden boards. I covered them with canvas and painted them with acrylic paint.
This form gives the Images a special plasticity..
I put the three paintings among each others and linked them with wooden ledges.
Metall legs makde it complete.
It is ca. 100 cm and now it stands on my window bench.

Nun da sie und ihr Geliebter voneinander getrennt sind, das sie nichts dagegen tun. Sie muss sich immer die alten sentimentalen Lieder anhören. Besonders játtendrai von Rina Ketty, denn genau das ist es was sie tut. Warten.

Now, that she and her lover are seperated, she can´t help it. She allways has to listen so that old sentimental music. Especially játtendrai by Rina Ketty, cause that is all she can do, wait.

IF- "Remedy" or "Embrace Yourself"

Hallo ihr Lieben

Das IF- Thema der Woche ist remedy und das ist ein Heilmittel.
Ein Heilmittel gegen Unsicherheit, das Gefühl von Unzulänglichkeit und Selbstzweifel, die uns alle hin und wieder befallen, ist es, sich selber anzunehmen zu Lieben und gut zu sich selber zu sein.
Wir müssen alle gut auf uns selber aufpassen. Wenn wir Glück haben, und ich gehört zu den Glücklichen, sind wir nicht alleine und es gibt jemanden der auf uns achtgibt, aber manchmal gibt es in unserem Leben niemanden außer uns selber, und deshalb müssen wir gut auf uns aufpassen uns selber lieb haben und das nie vergessen.
Als ich das Bild malte, fiel mir auf, das die Arme der Frau ein Herz bilden, und so ist dieses
Logo entstanden.

The IF  topic of the week is remedy. 
A cure for insecurity, feelings of inadequacy and self doubt that we all feel now and then, it is to take yourself as you are, to love and be good to yourself. 
We all have to take care very well of ourselves. If we're lucky, and I belong to the lucky ones, we are not alone and there is someone who takes care of us too, but sometimes we are just alone and therefore we should love ourselfes, and never forget this. 
When I made the picture, I recognized that the arms of the woman build a heart, and so this Logo was born.

IF <> surrender /aufgeben

Butch hatte ein schönes Hubdeleben, ein weiches Hundebett, volle Fressnäpfe und die ungeteilte Aufmerksamkeit seines Herrchens und dann kam Caruso und stellte sein Leben auf den Kopf. Butch wollte ihn verjagen, er knurrte und versuchte ihm zu drohen und war eifersüchtig darauf bedacht die Nummer eins bei seinem Herrchen zu bleiben. Er hatte aber nicht damit gerechnet, dass Caruso ihn lieb haben würde und deshalb blieb inichts anderes übrig als zu kapitulieren und Caruso in sein Herz zu lassen und in sein Leben.

Butch had a great dog- life, a cosy dog- bed, full feeding- bowls and the undivided attention of his master and then came caruso and turned his life upside down. Butch wanted to banish him, he groweled and tried to thread Caruso. He was jelously anxious, that he was still his masters number one. But he didn´t reckon that Caruso would love him and hence he had no other choice than to surrender and to let him in his heart and life.

This is my entry for Illustration Friday, but actually
I designed this recipe for Sacher torte for http://www.theydrawandcook.com/.
I am not a hell of a cook, but I love chocolate and I love Austria, since I lived there for 8 years, when I was a child. So this recipe is perfect for me.
I see now, that I should change the font and sice of the text, but most important is :
-VERY IMPORTANT--->Please proof-read your recipe to ensure that it is correct and not confusing!

Would you my dear blogger friends from USA, Canada, England and Australia be so kind and have a look if the text is all right that way?
That would be great.
Here comes the text:
Take the butter, most of the sugar and the warmed- up chocolate, add bit by bit the egg yolk and mix it, till it is foamy. Than add the breadcrumbs. Whisk the egg- white with the rest of the sugar stiff and fold it in the daugh.
Put it in a buttered cake pan and bake it on middle heat ( 170°C) for one hour.
When the tart has cooled down, cover it thin with apricot jam and thick with chocolate.Therefor warm-up the chocolate with the oil, a little water and some  sugar and stir it, till it is even.

Please write me if it is okay, or what mistakes I made.

Illustration Friday- Double

dies ist mein Beitarg zu IF- Double.
Die junge Dame ist ein Double der Hofdame von Kaiserin Eugenie.
Das Kollageelement ist von einem Gemälde des bekannten Portraitmalers Franz Xaver Winterhalter.
Ich finde ich mache mich als Hofdame auch nicht schlecht, auch wenn ich in der Zeit ein wenig zu weit zurückgereist bin (hihi).

Illustration Friday - clumsy / ungeschickt

Hallo meine Lieben,
für das  dieswöchtige Thema von IF habe ich ein altes Bild rausgekramt, das ich 1997 gezeichnet habe. Kurz danach hab ich für mehr als 10 Jahre meine Stifte beiseite gelegt ( wie saublöde!!!)
Die sturen Böcke sind sich nicht darüber im klaren, ab das ungeschickte Schwein der richtige Tischgenosse ist. Seinen Stuhl hat er schon beschädigt und sitzt deshalb auf einem Melasseeimer. Die Böcke haben davon Abstand genommen ihm ein langstieliges Glas zu geben. Er ist ja so ein Tölpel.

For thr IF- topic of the week, I fetched out a painting I made in 1997. A short time after that I put my pens away for about 10 years (How damn stupid!!!)
The stubborn billy goat and ram are not sure if the clumsy pig is the right commensal for them.
He broke allready his chair, that´s why he is sitting on a molasses- bucket. And his pails refrain from giving him a wine- glas with a long handle. He is such a baboon.

IF - Wilderness / Flora

Hallo ihr Lieben,
das ist mein dieswöchiger Beitrag zu Illustration Friday "Wilderness". Zugegeben, ich hab seit diesem
Montag an dem Bild gemalt, aber das Thema passt ganz gut zu meiner "Flora", der Göttin der Blumen
und der Wildniss. Inspiriert zu ihrem Haarschmuck wurde ich von einer javanesischen Holzbüste und

wie ich im Nachhinein feststellte, von Julies Engeln. Der Blumenschmuck sieht tatsächlich ein wenig aus wie ein Heiligenschein.                                                                                     Ich hoffe Julie nimmt mir das nicht übel. Ich bewundere ihre Kunst sehr und sie inspiriert mich immer wieder. Falls ihr nicht wisst warum, dann seht euch ihren Blog an, dann werdet ihr schon verstehen.    Ich wünsche euch allen ein schönes Wochenende.

here you can see my entry for this weeks IF- challenge "wilderness".To be honest, I started allready on monday with this painting, but I think Flora, the Godess of flowers and the wilderness  fits wonderful to the subject. Inspired to do the hair decoration I was by a wooden javanese bust, and as I recogniced, when I saw it finished, by Julies angels. Her hairdo looks almost like a halo of Julies heavenleigh creatures. Dear Julie, I hope you don´t mind.You inspire me with every painting. I suppose it became a part of my subconcious (he he).

If you guys don´t know, why I admire Julies artwork so much, you have to visit her blog, then you´ll understand.

IF- undone

Hallo ihr Lieben,

dies ist ein etwas später Beitrag zu IFs Thema der Woche "undone".

Ein Wort mit vielen Bedeutungen. To undo something heißt etwas aufmachen.

Das Bild hat seinen Ursprung in meiner allerersten Erinnerung.

Ich war zwei Jahre alt und bekam zu meinem Geburtstag oder zu Weihnachten (das liegt ja nur zwei Wochen auseinander) ein großes Paket. Neben allerhand Nützlichem wie Schlafanzügen war dieser wundervolle Teddybär von Steiff. Die Magie besteht darin, dass einTeddy, wenn er von einem Kind geliebt wird, für immer eine Seele hat. Deshalb ist er ist auch heute noch, 39 Jahre später, der rechtmäßige Hüter meines Schlafes und wacht über mich auf seinem Platz auf dem Nachtkommödchen.

Hello my friends

this is my late entry to IFs topic of the week "undone".

This drawing has its seeds in my very first memory.

I was two years old and got a very big parcel from my grandparents for my birthday or christmas (it´s only two weeks apart). Beside a lot of useful things like pyjamas was this wonderfull teddy bear of "Steiff".

The magic is, that if a teddy bear is beloved by a child he has a soul forever.

And therefor he is still, 39 years later, the rightful guardian of my sleep and watches over me from his place on the bedstand.

Beautiful present to all of you.

Illustration Friday - "skinny" or "The magical distorting mirror"

Hallo meine Lieben,

heute ist also Halloween und ich habe das dieswöchige Thema "skinny" (zu deutsch dünn) von Illustration Friday zum Anlass genommen, noch mal bei meiner Freundin der pummeligen Hexe reinzuschauen.

Sie hadert noch immer mit ihrem Übergewicht, hat aber nun einen wunderbaren Schlankheitszauber gefunden, nämlich einen magischen Zerrspiegel. Man braucht nur vor den Spiegel zu treten und

1,2,3 es ist keine Hexerei, ist man ganz dünn.

Ach so was könnte ich auf brauchen. Also nichts wie hin zum nächsten Spiegelkabinett ;0)

So today is Halloween and I took the If- topic of the week "skinny" as occasion to come by at my friend the chubby which. She is still upset because of her overweight, but she has founded a wonderful skinniness- magic. See the magical distorting mirror! Just step before the mirror and
1,2,3 it is no whichery, you are skinny.
Oh yes, I could need something like this too. Off I go to the next mirrored gallery ;0)
