Three Muses "Plenty more in the sea"

 

Hallo ihr Lieben,

was für ein schönes Thema die Three Muses diese Woche haben.

Dieses Tiefseebild habe ich vor einiger Zeit gestaltet.

Beim Spazierengehen fand ich ein Stück Rinde, das aussah wie ein Wal!

Ich habe es mitgenommen und ausgestaltet, dann habe ich meinen Wal in der Tiefsee platziert,

genauer gesagt auf einer mit Acrylfarbe bemalten Holzplatte befestigt und zu guter Letzt habe ich um der Tiefe willen noch einen kleinen Wal im Hintergrund dazu gemalt.

Ihr seht da ist wirklich einiges los im Meer....

what a great theme the Thee Muses have this week!

I created this deep- sea painting some times ago.

During a walk, I found a Piece of bark, which looks like a whale!

I took it with me and painted it, than mounted it on a wooden panel wich is

coloured wich acrylic paint to.



At the end I painted a little whale I added in the Background to give the Piece more depth,
You can see, there is plenty in the sea...

Das Thema von Inspiration Avenue passt ausgezeichnet zu meiner altmodischen Collage, die ich gerade fertig gestellt habe, Ich habe alles verwendet, was ich auf meinem Schreibtisch finden konnte, und zwei eigene Zeichnungen von Victorianischen Ladys eingefügt.
Ich bin ein großer Fan der BBC- Serie "Ripper Street" , ich mag die düstere Atmosphäre und natürlich die fantastischen Kostüme.

hier gilt es erst Mal den rheinischen Karneval zu überstehen (nicht meine Sache) und dann ist er ja schon da, der Valentinstag. Wenn er auch von FLEUROP erfunden wurde, so hat er doch eine besondere Bedeutung für mich, vor allem in diesem Jahr. Denn er ist gleichzeitig das 10 jährige meines Freundes und mir.

meine Dozentin hat mir und meinen Kommilitoninen eine Blankobuch mitgebracht und uns ermuntert ein Kunst-Tagebuch zu führen. Ich habe das vorher nie gemacht aber nun finde ich es großartig und benutze es oft.

Mein letzter Eintrag war zu Ehren meiner Muse.

Man muss gut zu ihr sein, ihr geben was sie will, sie immer willkommen heißen, denn nie kommt sie zur falschen Zeit. Wenn ihr gut zu ihr seid, wird sie euch nie verlassen, euch inspirieren und euer Leben verändern.

Passt gut auf eure Muse und euch selber auf.

my instructor brought me and my fellow students a blank book and encouraged us to write an art journal. I  never did that before but now I think it's great  and I use it often.
My last entry was to honor my muse.
You have to be kind to her, give her what she wants, she always has to be welcome, because she never visits you at the wrong time. If you are good to her, she will never abandon you. She´ll inspire you and change your life.

Inspiration Avenue - "Primavera" and third blogoversery

Hallo meine Lieben

Das Thema von Inspiration Avenue ist diese Woche "Primavera".

Ahh der Frühling, bringt er euch nicht auch zum Träumen?

Das Allerschönste ist der erste Moment im Frühling, wenn man ihn riecht.

Kennt ihr das?

Plötzlich riecht man Gras und Blüten und all die Gerüche die Monate lang verschwunden waren und von uns schon fast vergessen.

Man dreht sich um und sieht Knospen und junge Blätter die Gestern noch nicht da waren.

Dieser Moment treibt mir immer Tränen der Rührung in die Augen,

ich kann es nicht ändern, ich bin hoffnungslos sentimental.

Ich bin sicher Herr und Frau Lampe geht es genauso.

Über mein philosophieren über den Frühling habe ich glatt vergessen, das ich gestern mein drittes Blogjahr vollendet habe.

Mann oh Mann, wie die Zeit vergeht.

Aber in dem Fall, keine vertane Zeit, sondern eine gute Zeit, die ich nicht missen möchte.

Hello my friends
The challenge of Inspiration Avenue this week is, "Primavera".
Ahh the spring, doesn´t it make you dream too ?
The most beautiful thing in spring is the first time when you can smell it.
Do you know what I am talking about?
Suddenly, you can smell the grass and flowers and all the other odors wich were gone for months and had almost been forgotten.
You turn around and you see the buds and young leaves wich weren´t there the day befor.
This moment makes me almost cry,for joy.
I can´t help it, I'm hopelessly sentimental.
I'm sure Mr. and Mrs.rabbit feel the same about it.

Philosophizing about spring, I completely forgot that yesterday I finished my third year of blogging.
Boy oh boy, time goes on so fast .
But in this case, the time is not wasted  but a good time,wich I do not want to miss.
So that´s enough for today

Happy New Year

Hallo meine Lieben,

Ich hoffe ihr hattet alle schöne Feiertage und einen guten

Rutsch ins neue Jahr.

Falls euch mein Neujahrsbild bekannt vorkommt dann liegt es daran,

dass ich mich sehr von dem von mir sehr geschätzten Eyvind Earle habe

inspirieren lassen.

Es ist mit Acrylfarbe auf Collagepapier gemacht.

Earle war ein wunderbarer Illustrator und hat unter anderm für Walt Disney gearbeitet.

Nachahmung ist doch die ehrlichste Form der Bewunderung ;0)

Morgen sind die Feiertage vorbei und die Arbeit fängt wieder an.

Ich hoffe ihr habt alle einen guten Start in die neue Woche.

I hope you all had great holidays and a wonderfull new years start.

If my new- years- painting looks familiar to you, that may be because I was inspired by Eyvind Earle wich I admire a lot.

I painted it with acrylic colours on collage paper.

Earle was a wonderfull illustrator who worked amongst others for Walt Disney.

Imitation is the most honest way of admiration ;0)

Let it snow

Hallo ihr Lieben

ich hab in London eine Ausstellung von Figuren des amerikanischen Künstlers Jim Shore gesehen. Seine Figuren sind so farbenfroh und haben mir sehr gut gefallen.

Sie haben mich zu diesem Bild inspiriert.

Ich hab mir für mein zweites vorweihnachtliches Bild diesmal ein anderes Medium als Leinwand ausgesucht. Diesmal habe ich auf Blech gemalt. Genaugenommen auf die Rückseite einer Dose für Buntstifte. Einmal grundiert geht das sehr gut.

Meine Rentiere bereiten sich genau wie ich auf Weihnachten vor. Und wie steht es mit euch?

In London I saw an exhibition of figures made by the american artist Jim Shore. His figures are so colourful and I liked tham a lot. They inspired me to this painting,

for my seasonal painting I have choosen another medium than canvas. I painted on a metal sheet. To be precise it was the bottom of a metal-box for pensils. After priming that worked very well.

My deers prepare allready for christmas and so do I. What about you?

Egg- Tag

Hallo ihr Lieben,
kurz vor Ostern habe ich diese Egg-tags, zu deutsch "Eieranhänger" gebastelt.
Im Grunde sind es ovale ATCs. Ich weis bei ATCs muß ein besonderes Maß eingehalten werden, aber ich verschicke nicht nur bunte Umschläge, ich breche auch gern die Regeln (he he).
Sie sind aus, mit Leinwand überzogenem Karton, der auf vielseitige Art gestaltet ist.
Euch allen ein schönes Wochenende mit vielen bunten Eiern.

Hello my friends,
now, as it is almost easter, I made these "egg-tags".
Actually they are like oval ATCs. I know there is a strict messurement with the ATCs, but I do not only like to send coloured envelopes, I like to break the rules too (he he).
They are made of cardboard, covered with canvas and arranged in many different ways.
I wish all of you a happy weekend with lots of eggs.

Big Sale in the shoe-shop

Hallo ihr Lieben,

da es nun mal feststeht, dass ich einen Großteil meiner Schuhe nicht mehr tragen kann, habe ich mich nun entschlossen sie bei ebay zu verkaufen.

Um mir den Abschied zu versüßen, habe ich dieses Schuhgeschäft gemalt.

Vielleicht sollte ich eine kleine Papierjanine malen, der all diese Schuhe passen (hihi).

Falls ihr interesse an topgepflegten, heißgeliebten und kaum getragenen Schuhen in Größe 39- 41 habt, schaut doch mal bei ebay rein. Einen kleinen Vorgeschmack findet ihr hier.

Now as it is clear that I can´t wear most of my shoes anymore, I decided to sell them at ebay.
To make the farwell easier for me, I painted this shoeshop.

Three Muses / Ah man

ich habe dieses Mixed-media Bild letztes Jahr gemacht. Mit Fotos auf schwarzer Pappe und diese wiederum auf Leinwand. Es gehört zu zwei Bildern mit dem Titel "Frauen sind fabelhaft...Männer auch"
Ich finde es passt wunderbar zum dieswöchigen Thema der Three Muses.

Blogaversary, award and giveaway

Hallo meine Lieben,

es ist tatsächlich schon ein Jahr her, dass ich dieses Blog habe und das ist für mich ein Grund zu feiern.

Ich habe mir anfänglich kaum vorstellen können, das es irgendjemanden interessieren könnte was ich zu zeigen und zu sagen habe. Tatsächlich habe ich hier wundervolle Leute kennegelernt die mich inspirieren, ermutigen, meinen künstlerischen Horizont erweiter haben und die ich Stolz bin meine Blogfreunde zu nennen.

Ich finde es phantastisch zu sehen, aus welchen Teilen der Welt ihr alle kommt.

Heute möchte ich mich bei euch dafür bedanken, dass ihr mein Leben im letzten Jahr bereichert habt und ich so viel Zeit mit euch verbringen konnte.

It is allready one year that I am running this blog, and that is a reason for me to celebrate. In the beginning I could hardly imagine that there is somebody who has any interests in what I show and what I say. Actually I met wonderful people, who inspire me,who encourage me and who expended my artistic horizon. I am so proud to call you my blog-friends. It is phantastic to see from wich parts of the world you are.

Today I want to say thank you, that you have enriched my life, thank you for the time I could share with you,

Neues im neuen Jahr/ Something new in the new year

Hallo meine Lieben,
erst einmal, euch allen ein schönes neues Jahr. Mögen sich all unsere Wünsche erfüllen.
2009 war für mich ein besonderes Jahr, denn ich habe im Februar mit diesem Blog begonnen, und bin so froh darüber. Ich hätte nie daran geglaubt, hier so tolle Leute und außergewöhnliche Künstler kennenzulernen. Der kreative Austausch ist so inspirierend, und ich habe viel dazu gelernt.
Unter anderem, was ATCs sind. ATCs oder artist tading cards sind 6x 9 cm kleine Karten, die individuell, in jeglicher Art und Weise gestaltet werden können.
Sie werden nie verkauft sondern gtauscht und gesammelt. Ich finde das ist eine schöne Idee. Es macht sehr viel Spaß, zu kritzeln, phantasieren und zu experimentieren.
So starte ich mein neues Blogjahr mit meinen ersten ATCs.

Hello my friends,
first of all I wish all of you a happy new year. May all our wishes will come true.
2009 was a special year for me. In February I started writing this blog and I am so happy about that. I never thought that I would meet so amazing people and great artists here. The creativ intercommunion is so inspiering and I learned a lot. Among other things , what ATCs are. ATCs or artist trading cards, have the format 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and can be made any way you like, with any kind of media. They shall never be sold, but traded and collected. I think that´s a wonderful idea. It is a lot of fun to doodle around and to experiment and phantasice.
SoI start my new blogging year with my first ATCs.

"Sonderangebot" und ein Preis / "Bargain" and an award

Meine lieben Freunde,
ich habe dieses Mixed- Media Bild mit dem Titel, "Das Sonderangebot" fertig gestellt.
Die Anzeigen im Hintergrund sind aus dem "Händler- Journal" von 1927.
Ganz neu ist der "Premio Meme Award" der mir von der talentierten Künstlerin Jill verliehen wurde. Vielen lieben Dank!
Nach den Regeln soll ich 7 Dinge über mich verraten und den Preis meinerseits an 7 Blogger weiterreichen.

The advertisement in the backgroung is from a, so- called Traders- journal from 1927.

New is the Premio Meme Award that was given to me by the talented artist Jill. Thank you so much!
According to the rules I am to share 7 facts about myself & then pass the award on the 7 others.

1. I am addicted to chocolate- icecream
2. I love to travel and do that as often as money and time allow me to.
3. Usually I paint in the evening and often longer as I should
4. I would love to exhibit my paintings one day (maybe I will)

La parisienne

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich hab in den letzten zweit Tagen dieses Bild gemalt, das ich euch hier zeigen möchte.

Es sind Filzstifte (Die ich schon als Kind geliebt habe) und Acryl auf Leinwand.

Ich selber bin ganz zufrieden damit. Ich weis noch nicht so genau wohin mich die Malerei führt, ich experimentiere noch viel mit verschiedenen Stilen und lass mich einfach treiben und schau wohin es mich führt.

the last two days I spend painting this picture, that I want to show you.

It´s made of felt- pens (wich I loved yet as a child) and acrylic-paint on streched canvas.

I´m quiet satisfied with it. I don´t know exactly where my painting is going to lead me,

I do experimentations with different styles and let myself drift. I will see where it leads me to.

Zwei neue Bilder/ Two new paintings

Hallo ihr Lieben,
der Wonnemonat beflügelt meine Phantasie und so habe ich zwei neue Bilder gemalt. Das Erste ist ein Acrylbild auf Leinwand und goldenem Collagepapier. Die Schmetterlinge habe ich auf leichtem Karton gemalt und nur einen Flügel aufgeklebt. Jetzt können sie flattern.Das gibt dem Bild einen dreidimensionalen Aspekt, den ich sehr mag.
Die kleine Prinzessein hat einen Drachen gefunden. Ihre Mutter sieht noch sehr skeptisch aus. Doch wenn man den kleinen Schatz anguckt ist klar, das von ihm nichts Böses zu erwarten ist.
Ich liebe Drachen sehr. Sie sind ein weltweites Phänomen, denn Menschen aus allen Teilen der Erde glaubten an Drachen, ohne jemals in Kontakt zueinander getreten zu sein.
Wie kann das sein?
Gab es sie vielleicht wirklich?
Ich möchte das gerne glauben.

Für das zweite Bild habe ich Teile von Buchseiten (es waren Leseexemplare, denn ich zerreisse keine Bücher) zu einem Hintergrund zuseammengefügt.
In der Mitte sitz "die Leserin", versunken in ihrem Buch.
Ich packe meine Bilder sonst ziemlich voll, aber sie gefällt mir so wie sie ist.
Nur sie und ihr Buch und um sie herum kann alles sein oder nichts.

Hallo my dear friends,
May fires my inspiration, and so I painted two more pictures.
The first is acrylic-paint and collage-paper on stretched canvas. I painted the butterflies on a light cardboard, cuted them out and glued just one wing ( do you say wings, when you talk of butterflies?) on the canvas. Now they can flap. That gives the painting a three-dimensional aspect, which I like.
The littele Princess has found a dragon. Her mother looks at him very sceptically.
But one look at the little darling and you know, that he can not be bad.
I love dragons very much.
They are a worldwide phenomenon, cause people all over the world believed in dragons, without getting in contact to each other.
Why is that so?
Did they really exist?
I would like to believe that.












For the second painting, I put parts of book-pages ( I don´t tear up real books, these were reading- exemplars) together for the background. In the middle "the reader" is sitting sunken in her book.
Usually I put a lot of details in my paintings, but I like this one as it is.
Just her and her book, and around there can be everything or nothing.

Bald ist Walpurgisnacht / Soon there is Beltane

Liebe Freunde
In drei Tagen tanzen wir in den Mai, und in vier Tagen ist Walpurgisnacht.
Die kleine pummelige Hexe wird es in diesem Jahr nicht mehr auf den Besen schaffen und feiert mit ihren Freunden in ihrem Lieblingspub auf ein paar Cocktails und einen Whisky.

Dear friends
In four days we have the beltane- fest.
The little chubby witch will not manage to ride the broom this year and so she and her friends are in their favourite pub, where they have a few cocktails and some whi(m)sky.
How do you celebrate the beltane- fest?
