One world one heart/ gifts and thoughts

Hello my friends

Yesterday I recived the last of eight gifts I won in the "One world one heart" blogparty.

I am so  thankfull for this wonderful opportunity to get to know other people from all over the world, and of cause happy to have won this awesome items.

But what has been left, beside the gifts that some of us did win.

I felt that the world is a much smaller place than I thought before.

I learned that the other participiants from all over the world are just like me.

Creative, passionat, careing, silly and crazy.

But since friday I feel that the world as we know it is falling into pieces.

I know, that my blog-friend Bella is from Japan, she lived there. I hope so much that her family and friends are well and save.

But thousands of men, women and children aren´t. People just like us.

I can´t watch TV without crying.

No matter how far away Japan might be from your country, this is a global catastrophy.

What those people go through is beyond all bearings.

And this can happen everywhere to everybody.

I hope with all my heart that the leaders of this world will learn to work together for the benefit of the people and mother earth.

It might seem shallow to talk about being a lucky winner, but I really want to introduce the blogs to you and to say thank you.

Hallo meine Lieben,

ich habe heute diese hübsche Päckchen von der zauberhaften Paulette bekommen.

Ich hab an ihrem Giveaway teilgenommen und NICHT gewonnen, dennoch schickt sie mir diese wunderschönen Anhänger die sie gemacht hat.

today I have got this lovely parcel in the mail. It was from Paulette. I joined her last giveaway and DIDN`T win. But she sended me this wonderful and lovely pendants.
Dear Paulette, they are more beautiful than any picture can show. Thank you so much for your generousity and your friendship.

Lola Montez

Hallo ihr Lieben,
ich habe kürzlich eine wundervolle Biographie von Lola Montez gelesen. Sie war eine skandalöse "spanische" Tänzerin von geheimnisvoller Herkunft, die im 19 Jahrhundert in Europa für Furore sorgte.
Tatsächlich war sie ein irisches Mädchen von dunkler Schönheit, Phantasie und viel Mut die ihr Leben selber in die Hand nahm. In Paris verkehrte sie in ersten Künstlerkreisen und zählte Dumas Vater und Sohn zu ihren engsten Freunden. Ein Zeitungsverleger, der sie liebte starb in einem Duell, das er ihretwegen begang.
Sie trat an europäischen Hoftheatern auf und wurde die Geliebte des bayrischen Königs, der ihretwegen abdanken musste.
Als sie älter was, zog sie nach Amerika, konnte aber an ihre europäischen Erfolge nicht anknüpfen. Sie wurde als skurile Attraktion bei Barnum & Bailys ausgestellt und starb schließlich einsam und verarmt.
Was für ein Leben!!
Ich habe sie gemalt, so wie ich sie mir vorstelle. Habt alle einen schönen Sonntag.

Recently I read a wonderful biography about the scandalous "spanish" dancer Lola Montez.
Her ancestry was mysterious and she caused a furore in 19. century Europe.
Actually she was an irish girl of dark beauty, phantasy and courage who took her life in her own hands. In Paris she mixed in the first artist society and Alexandre Dumas Father and son were her closest friends.
A publisher who loved her, died in a duell that he fought for her. She performed her dance in several european royal- theaters and became the lover of the bavarian king, who had to resign because of her. When she was older she moved to America but she couldn´t tie in with her former successes.
She had been exposed as bizarre attraction at Barnum & Bailys and in the end she died alone and poor.
What a life!!
I painted her as I envisaged her.
