Weg! / Away!

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich hab nun schon ziemlich lange nichts mehr von mir hören lassen,

aber ich hab das Gefühl. das es anders zur Zeit nicht geht.

Ich bin in der unkreativsten Phase seit ich diesen Blog habe und ich

habe das Gefühl, viel zu wenig Zeit zu haben. Für mich selber, meine Freunde, meinen Haushalt meinen Garten und so weiter.

Ich bin beruflich sehr eingespannt und der Tag hat zu wenig Stunden.

Der Austausch mit euch hat mir immer viel bedeutet und ich möchte das nicht halbherzig tun.

Ich hoffe ihr nehmt mich wieder in eure Mitte auf, wenn ich hoffentlich in ein paar Wochen zurück bin.

Bald habe ich Urlaub und hoffe mich dann ein wenig entspannen

zu können.

Vielleicht kommt dann auch meine Muse wieder zurück.

Hello my friends

I have been away for a while, but I have got the feeling, that it has to be that way.

I am in the most uncreative phase, since I start the blog and I feel, that I do not have enough time.

Not for me, not for my friends, my household, my garden and so on.

My job is quiet stressfull at the moment and the days have simply not enough hours.

The exchange with you means a lot to me and I don´t want to blog halfhearted.

I hope you welcome me back into the fold, when I will be back.

Not long, and I will have holidays. Maybe I can relax than,

and hopefully my muse retourns, when I am more laid back.

Hallo ihr Lieben,

man scheint es zur Zeit gut mit mir zu meinen.

Ich habe diesmal von Ayala den Versatile Blogger Award bekommen.

Ayale malt nicht nur tolle Bilder, sie macht auch die anbetungswürdigsten kleinen Puppen die ihr euch vorstellen könnt. Ihr solltet euch das wirklich ansehen.

Ich soll nun 7 Dinge von mir preisgeben.

Mal sehen ob ich so viel zusammenkriege das von Interesse ist.

Nun, das erste ist nicht schlecht....

1. Ich habe eine Nacht lang Elvis Presley Cadillac bewacht! Das ist wirklich war. Es gab in Aachen ( vor 20 Jahren) eine Elvisausstellung. Ich habe an der Tageskasse gesessen. Abends sagte der Wachmann ab, der nur für den Cadillac eingestellt war. Die Versicherungen bestanden darauf , das es eine extra Wache nur für den Wagen geben sollte.

Man hat mich gefragt, ob ich das machen will. Die haben gut bezahlt und ich hab ja gesagt. Aber es war ein wenig gruselig abends allein in der großen Ausstellungshalle.

Ich habe mir über einen Riesenfernseher die ganze Nacht Elvisfilme angesehn und mich dabei an seinen Cadillac gelehnt.

2.Ich habe ein absolutes Faible für die Habsburger, nicht nur für Sissi, sondern für die ganze seltsame Bagage. Die waren alle so herrlich skurill.

3.Ich bin ein Schokoladeneis- Junkie und es gibt nichts, was man dagegen tun kann.

4. Ich liebe alle Arten von Kartenspielen, und ich gewinne fast immer, vielleicht weil ich nie um Geld spiele.

5.Ich war noch nie in den USA, aber wenn alles gut geht, geht der nächste Mutter- Tochter- Urlaub, den meine Mama und ich jährlich machen nach New York. Das wäre zu schön.

6. Ich liebe die englische Sprache. Ich hab sie von der ersten Unterrichtsstunde an geliebt. Ich finde das ist die schönste Sprache die es gibt. Vielleicht nicht garde, wenn ich englisch spreche. Auch wenn ich mir große Mühe gebe, den deutschen Akzent kriegt man nur schwer raus ;0)

7. Ich bin dankbar und glücklich so viel positive Menschen, positive Gefühle und positive Energie bei euch gefundn zu haben.

Hello my friends,
you are too good to me.
I got another award . It is the versatile blogger award, wich I got from the wonderful Ayala.
She does not even make beautiful paintings, she makes the most adorable little dolls you have ever seen. So go and check out her blog.
Concerning to the rules I have to tell you 7 things about me.
I wonder if I found so many things, that are interesting enough.
Well, the first one is good.....

1. I was the guard for Elvis Presleys Cadillac for one night! This is really true. In my hometown there was ( 20 years ago) an Elvis- exhibition.
I sold the tickets in the exhibition-hall. In the evening when the doors were closes, the man who was hired for being the night- guard ( the insurance wanted a night- guard just for the car) did not show up.
So they asked me, if I could stay in the hall for one night to guard the Cadillac. They paid well and I said "Yes". Well it was a little scary alone in that big hall in the night.
I watched the hole night Elvis- movies on a giant screen in the hall and sat on the floor leaning at Elvises car.

2. I have a softspot for the Habsburg- family. Not even empress Sissi but the whole bunch of the weird family.

3. I am a chocolat- icecream- junky, and there is nothing I can do against it.

4. I love to gamble with cards . I love all kinds of games with cards and I win allmost every time, maybe this is because I never play for money.

5. I have never been in the USA, but hopefully my mum and me will go on our next mother- daughter- holiday to New York. That would be so great.

6. I love the englisch language. I loved it from the very first lesson I had. For me it is the most beautiful language, maybe not, when I speak it. Even so I try hard, the german accent is hard to hide ;0)

7. I am happy and thankful to have found so many positive people, positive emotions and positive energys here among you.

dies ist mein Beitarg zu IF- Double.
Die junge Dame ist ein Double der Hofdame von Kaiserin Eugenie.
Das Kollageelement ist von einem Gemälde des bekannten Portraitmalers Franz Xaver Winterhalter.
Ich finde ich mache mich als Hofdame auch nicht schlecht, auch wenn ich in der Zeit ein wenig zu weit zurückgereist bin (hihi).

This young lady is a double of Empress Eugenies Lady of the court.
The collage- element is of a painting of the famous portrait- painter Franz Xaver Winterhalter.
I think, I would make a good Lady of the court too, but I guess, I traveled back in time to much (hihi).

Spieglein, Spieglein an der Wand/ Mirror, mirror on the wall

Hallo meine Lieben,

in letzter Zeit finde ich die Gesichter die ich male ein wenig unproportioniert, vielleicht ist es an Zeit mal einen genaueren Blick in den Spiegel zu werfen.

Und da ich es gern bunt mag, habe ich einen alten Spiegel bemalt, Und natürlich ist es kein Spieglein an der Wand , sondern ein Spiegel auf dem Tisch und das ist auch gut so, denn nun hat er zwei funktionale Seiten, Vorne den Spiegel und das Kästchen und hinten ein Memo- board. Die Rückseite ist mit Tafellack bestrichen, so kann man mit Kreide immer schön was draufschreiben.

Ich hoffe das mit dem Spiegel funktioniert.

Hello my friends,

Recently I think the faces I paint look a little out of  proportion.

Maybe it is time to have a close look in the mirror, to solve that problem.

Because I like it colourful, I painted my mirror. And as you see it is no mirror on the wall but a mirror on the table, and that is good. Now I can use both sides.

The front with the mirror and the little box and the backside with a memo- board. I used black board paint to coat the back, now I can write my notes down with chalk, all the time I like.

I hope the look in the mirror will be successful.

In ein Buch gezogen / Pulled into a book

Hallo ihr Lieben,

wer kannt es nicht, das Gefühl vollkommen von einer Geschichte gefangen zu sein, so sehr, das es sich anfühlt als ob man in ein Buch gezogen würde.

Nun dieser Dame ist es passiert.

Das das abenteuerlich ausgehen kann, wisssen wir spätestens seit Michael Endes grandiosem Buch "Die unendliche Geschichte".

Im übrigen müsst mir nicht von mir glauben, das ich Bücher zerreisse. Die verwendeten Seiten sind aus einem  Taschenbuch, das nur noch aus losen Seiten bestand. Ich bin wohl zu oft dort dein gewesen ;0)

Ich hab mir das Buch nun in einer gebundenen Ausgabe gekauft, für viele weitere Reisen.

Hello my friends,

who does not know the feeling to be absolutly captured by a story, that much that it feels as if you were pulled in the book.

Well, that happens to that Lady.

That this can be quiet adventureous, is at last known since Michael Endes marvellous book "The neverending story".

By the way, don´t think of me, that I am a book- ripper. The pages I used are out of a paperback with all pages  loose. I guess I have been inside that book to often ;0)

Now I bought the story in a bounded book, for many more trips inside.

This time for Africa

Hallo meine Lieben,

ihr erinnert euch an den Shakirssong?

Die WM war wirklich schön und Afrika in aller Munde. Das Interesse für Afrika ist bei mir noch nicht zu Ende. In den Sommerferien, machen wir, das heißt der Jugendtreff in dem ich arbeite, Ferienspiele mit dem Thema Afrika. Eine Gruppe wird afrikanisch tanzen, eine andere afrikanisch kochen, es gibt eine Kostümgruppe und so weiter.

Ich mache mit den Kindern eine Reise durch Afrika. In einigen Ländern machen wir halt und, meine Aufgabe ist es zu erklären, wie die Länder aussehen, was das besondere ist und vor allem unter welchen Bedingungen die Kinder dort leben. Das ist nicht immer einfach. Damit meine Reise aber nicht zu schwermütig wird, habe ich mir aus ein paar Brettern eine Kiste gezimmert.

Ich habe sie bemalt und gebe dort Dinge der Länder auf, die wir bereisen,

Dinge die alle Sinne ansprechen wie, Instrumente und Musikaufnahmen, Gewürze, Kunstgegenstände und Spiele.

Ich hoffe das es den Kindern gefallen wird.

Am Ende der Ferienspiele bekommt jedes Kind eine Ferienspielzeitung.

Hello my friends,
do you remember this Shakaira-song?
The football world- championship was great and Africa resoundes throughout the world. But my interest for Africa isn´t over yet. Now, during the holidays, the youthcenter I work in, will make summer- games, as we call it. For two weeks, 65 children will come and it´s all about africa.
One group will do african cooking, another group will dance, some make costumes and so on.
I will make a trip through africa with the children. We will stop in some countrys and my job is to explain about the countrys, how they look like and first of all, under what circumstances the children live there.
That is not that easy. For the reason, that the journey doesn´t become to sad I timberd myself a chest out of some old planks. I painted it and put items in it, of the countries we will learn about.
Items to appeal all the sences like, music- instruments, and african music on CD, spices, african craftwork and games.
I hope the children will like it.
In the end, they all get a sommergame-magazin. The cover is made by the wonderful and unique Vanessa Brantley- Newton of Ooh la la design studios.
She was so generous to allow me, to use one of her great (africa related) pictures.
