"Café Luxor"

Hallo meine Lieben,

Janine

Hello my friends,
after my journey to egypt, I asked myself often, what might have happend to the once admired gods of egypt. It must be hard to disappear into meaninglessness after thousands of years of cult.
The more I was astonished when I saw some of them the other day.
Not bound to egypt any more, they found themselfes a place to live in more temperate clima and moved to the Cote d´azur. Anubis opend a funeral parlour with his buddy Osiris and in his free time he mostly hangs around in the gym. He allways thought that Bastet is a hot kitty and invited her to Thots little Beach-café.
Thot exchanged the book- of- dead to a receipt-book and dreams that his café will once become the rendevouz of the international jetset.
But the scarabaes put a spok in his wheel.
For the guys of the health authoritys they are just dung beetles and this species is not really liked in gastronomy.

Have a nice weekend
Janine

  12. Hi Janine, so exciting to read your message and how much you think and feel about our existence.
I think about the same things also. This maybe our awakening period where people are becoming aware of a deeper meaning and life. Maybe in another 100 years people will be so much more spiritual and of knowing. I would love to come back for this time.
Thank you so much Janine for sharing these thoughts with me, really enjoying reading them.
Hope you have a glorious week!

    Love!

    Julie

  13. So excellent, Janine. What a wonderful trip to take...I can only imagine the beauty. Thank you for your comments on my "Something Old" presentation. I have a lot of ferns in my gardens and since they originated in Egypt 360 million years ago, I felt that nothing could express the theme as well, since both the fern and the Sphinx are still tangible and enjoyed by so many. Be well, Janine. Hugs, Gayle

  14. Hahahahahaha! I love your sense of whimsy! What a fun piece. I see they have adopted more contemporary clothing, and a nice sense of fashion too. And no, I don't think I will be trying any scarabs for dinner anytime soon. Ewwwww!
