Women of the world (2) India

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich bin total im Drechselfieber aber ich hab noch ein paar Bilder aus meiner "Women of the world"- Reihe in petto.

Diesmal zeige ich euch eine indische Frau. Ich finde das es ganz außergewöhnlich schöne Frauen in Indien gibt. Und ganz bezaubernd hübsche Mädchen, wie mein indisches Patenkind Dharani. Sie lebt mit ihren Eltern (ihre Mutter ist ebenfalls eine sehr hübsche Frau) und ihren beiden Brüdern in Südindien. Sie wird in 2 Wochen 6 Jahre alt und ist schon jetzt eine kleine Schönheit. Ich hoffe, das ich sie eines Tages besuchen kann.

I have the woodturning-fever but I have still some paintings from my series "women of the world" to show you.

This time I show you a womam from India. I think that there are exeptional beautys among the indian Ladys. And some captivating and pretty girls, like my indian fosterchild Dharani. She lives with her parents (Her mother is very pretty too) and her 2 brothers in South India. 

In 2 weeks she becomes 6 years old and she is allready a little beauty. I hope, one day I will be able to visit her.

Happy magical birthday to me!

Hallo ihr Lieben,

Gestern war mein 42ster (oh je) Geburtstag,

aber das ist kein Grund zu jammern, wenn man von seinem Freund ein so tolles Geschenk bekommt wie ich. Andere bedauernswerte Frauen mögen Haushaltsgeräte oder Parfum geschenkt bekommen.

Ich bekomme Werkzeug, oder genauer gesagt eine Drechselbank.

Das ist so cool.

Hier oben seht ihr meine ersten beiden Versuche. Zu sehen, wie unter dem Beitel aus einem Stück Holz ein Zauberstab wird ist wirklich wie Magie. Ich habe defenitiv ein neues Hobby. Ich werde Mr Olivander Konkurrenz machen. An Stelle von Phönixfedern werden Eddelsteine eingesetzt.

Und weil die Zauberstäbe so gut funktionieren, habe ich mich auf den Titel der Cosmopolitan gezaubert, na ja so ganz geklappt hat es nicht, denn die Ausgabe ist von 1929 (he he he)

Hello my friends,                    Yesterday was my 42th (oh dear) Birthday.But that is no reason to complain, when you get an amazing present from your boyfriend, like me. Other deplorabel women may get some kitchen maschines or perfume but I got tools to be precise I got a wood turning lathe.

That is so cool.
On the photo abobe you can see my two first tries.
To see how the turning wood turns into a wand under the chisel is really like magic. I have defenetly a new hobby. I think I will go into a competition with Mr Olivander. Instead of phoenixfeathers I insert jewellery. And because the wands work so fine I performed some magic to put me pon the titel page of the cosmopolitan, well it didn´t work that perfect cause the issue is from 1929 (he he he)

Women of the world (1)- Southafrica

Hallo ihr Lieben,
dieses Bild ist der Start einer kleinen Reihe von Bildern die die Schönheit von Frauen aus aller Welt zeigt, so wie ich es sehe.
Mal ehrlich, ich finde es gibt viel mehr schöne Frauen als Männer, ich auf jeden Fall drehe mich öfter nach einer schönen Frau um, als nach einem schönen Mann.
In diesem Jahr (dem Jahr der Fußball WM) konnte man so viele schöne Frauen aus Südafrika sehen, hier ist nun eine davon.

Well I turn around for a pretty woman much more often than for a handsome man.

Wie all Katzenbesitzer glaube ich fest, das nicht bezaubernder ist als meine Lieblinge und deshalb wollte ich euch ein paar schöne Bilder von Rossi und Stella zeigen.

Like all cat-owners I believe, that nothing is more captivating than my darlings, and therefor I want to show you some nice photos of Rossi and Stella.

In diesen Korb sollten die Orangen, aber Stella wollte zuerst einmal nachprüfen, ob der Korb nicht bequem ist.

This basket should be for the oranges, but before Stella wanted to proof if it is comfortable for her.

Kaum draußen beschwert sich Rossi schon über die Kälte.

Rossi is complaining about the cold snow.

Drinnen ist es viel gemütlicher

Inspiration Avenue / Once upon a time

Es war einmal...das ist das Thema der "Inspiration Avenue".

Ich habe daraufhin eine kleine Reise ins Morgenland gemacht.

Und weil mir so weihnachtlich zumute ist, habe ich meine alte Kiste mit Weihnachtsdekoration rausgekramt, Adventskranz und Weihnachtskalender aufgebaut und eine Kerze entzündet. Ich liebe die Adventszeit...

This is my entry for Illustration Friday, but actually
I designed this recipe for Sacher torte for http://www.theydrawandcook.com/.
I am not a hell of a cook, but I love chocolate and I love Austria, since I lived there for 8 years, when I was a child. So this recipe is perfect for me.
I see now, that I should change the font and sice of the text, but most important is :
-VERY IMPORTANT--->Please proof-read your recipe to ensure that it is correct and not confusing!

Would you my dear blogger friends from USA, Canada, England and Australia be so kind and have a look if the text is all right that way?
That would be great.
Here comes the text:
Take the butter, most of the sugar and the warmed- up chocolate, add bit by bit the egg yolk and mix it, till it is foamy. Than add the breadcrumbs. Whisk the egg- white with the rest of the sugar stiff and fold it in the daugh.
Put it in a buttered cake pan and bake it on middle heat ( 170°C) for one hour.
When the tart has cooled down, cover it thin with apricot jam and thick with chocolate.Therefor warm-up the chocolate with the oil, a little water and some  sugar and stir it, till it is even.

Please write me if it is okay, or what mistakes I made.

Time for coffee

wie ihr wisst habe ich im Moment viel Zeit Kaffee zu trinken und zu malen.
Heraus kam das. Es hängt nun in meiner Küche und da hängt es zurecht.
Wenn ihr also Lust auf einen fantastischen Kaffe aus brasilianischen oder kenianischen Bohnen,
mit aufgeschäumter Milch und einem Hauch von Schokolade wollt, dann schaut vorbei.
Ihr seid alle eingeladen bei mir eine Tasse Kaffee zu trinken.

Let it snow

Hallo ihr Lieben

ich hab in London eine Ausstellung von Figuren des amerikanischen Künstlers Jim Shore gesehen. Seine Figuren sind so farbenfroh und haben mir sehr gut gefallen.

Sie haben mich zu diesem Bild inspiriert.

Ich hab mir für mein zweites vorweihnachtliches Bild diesmal ein anderes Medium als Leinwand ausgesucht. Diesmal habe ich auf Blech gemalt. Genaugenommen auf die Rückseite einer Dose für Buntstifte. Einmal grundiert geht das sehr gut.

Meine Rentiere bereiten sich genau wie ich auf Weihnachten vor. Und wie steht es mit euch?

In London I saw an exhibition of figures made by the american artist Jim Shore. His figures are so colourful and I liked tham a lot. They inspired me to this painting,

for my seasonal painting I have choosen another medium than canvas. I painted on a metal sheet. To be precise it was the bottom of a metal-box for pensils. After priming that worked very well.

My deers prepare allready for christmas and so do I. What about you?

Zeit zum Nähen / Time vor sewing

Hallo ihr Lieben,
ich hab letztlich ein wenig Zeit vor der Nähmaschine verbracht.
Dabei herausgekommen ist meine erste Schürze mit Rüschen am Kragen einer großen Schleife im Rückenund großen aufgesetzten Taschen für allen möglichen Krimskrams.
Ich hab zwei alte Stoffe verwendet, die ich schon seit einer Ewigkeit im Schrank liegen hatte. Ich glaub, das wird nicht meine letzte sein.

Some time ago I spend a few hours infront of my sewing- maschine. And here I proudly present my first apron with rushings at the collar  a big tie at the back and big fitted pockets for all kinds of stuff. I have used two vintage fabrics, wich had been in my armoire for ages. I suppose, this is not the last apron I will make.

Dann hab ich ein weihnachlich inspiriertes Elchkissen genäht,

Then I sewed a seasonal inspired moose- cushion,

und aus den Stoffresten ein paar Anhänger für eine Türdeko gemacht. 

and made some ornaments for a door- decoration from the rest of the fabric.

Ich glaube nicht, das Dekorationen nur etwas für Weihnachtsbäume sind,

I dot believe, that decorations are just something for the christmas- trees,

Deshalb wird mein 2m großer Ficus in der Küche auch ganzjährig geschmückt.

Natürlich nicht mit Christbaumschmuck, sondern mit kleinen Vögeln und Herzen, die ich genäht habe.

Thus I embellish my 2m high ficus-tree in my kitchen all time of year.

Certainly not with chrismas-ornaments but with little birds and hearts I have sewed.

ich glaube ich hab es schon mal erwähnt...

Ich liebe London!!!!!!

Es ist jedesmal toll dort zu sein, immer kann man etwas Neues entdecken und auch liebgewonnenes wiedersehen.

Diesmal hatte ich das Vergnügen mit einer Jugendgruppe 5 Tage in London zu sein. Die Jungs und Mädels waren klasse uns mir machte es besonders viel Spaß, ihnen die Schönheit dieser Stadt zeigen zu dürfen.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit.
