Victorian beauty

Hallo meine Lieben,
Das Thema von Inspiration Avenue passt ausgezeichnet zu meiner altmodischen Collage, die ich gerade fertig gestellt habe, Ich habe alles verwendet, was ich auf meinem Schreibtisch finden konnte, und zwei eigene Zeichnungen von Victorianischen Ladys eingefügt.
Ich bin ein großer Fan der BBC- Serie "Ripper Street" , ich mag die düstere Atmosphäre und natürlich die fantastischen Kostüme.

Dear friends,
the subject of Inspiration Avenue fits perfectly to the old- fashiones collage I made.
I used all the Odds and ends I could find on my desk and added two drawings of victorian L
ladys I made. I am a big fan of the BBC- series "Ripper street". I love the dark atmosphere and of cause the fabolous costumes.

 Hallo meine Lieben,
was mich angeht, ich liebe es zu schlafen. Ich bin ein echtes Murmeltier,
ich träume viel und lebhaft und kann mich häufig an meine Träume erinnern.
Als ich ein Kind war, konnte ich im Traum fliegen. Das war wunderschön, dann wurde ich erwachsen und habe das Fliegen verlernt. Doch ich gebe die Hoffnung nicht auf, das der Traum vom Fliegen wiederkommt.

Speaking about myselfe, I love to sleep. I can sleep like a log.
I dream a lot and I dream very lively and very often I can remember my dreams. When I was a child, I could fly in my dreams. This was wonderful, but then I grew up and unlearnd flying.
But I am still hopefull, that one day the dream of flying comes back.

Das letzte Jahr hat mir gezeigt, wie schnell alles sich ändern kann.

Im nachhinein kommt es mir vor, als hätte ich das letzte Jahr in einem Dämmerzustand verbracht.

Doch nun finde ich, ist es Zeit aufzuwachen.

Dieser Blog hat mir immer viel Freude gemacht, irgendwie hatte ich das vergessen.

Ich wünsche euch allen, das euch das Jahr 2015 nur gute und glückliche Stunden bringt.

the incidences of last year have shown me, how quickly everything can Change.

In retrospection it seems to me as if I have spend the last year in a coma..

But I think now it is time to wake up.

Running this blog was allways joyfull for me, somehow I have forgotten that.

Im Kleiderschrank meiner Paperdoll sind noch dieses Kleid,

Aber ich glaube, sie hätte gern noch mehr zum anziehen.

Habt ihr Vorschläge?

Welche Kleidung braucht sie noch?

Ich bin gespannt, was euch so einfällt.

morgen ist es so weit.

Die diesseitige und die jenseitige Welt werden eins, und mein steinernen Drache wir zum Leben erwachen. Das Bild ist eine Tuschezeichnung die ich vor vielen Jahren gemacht habe.

Ich habe die Idee zu diesem Bild geklaut, aber leider kann ich nicht mehr sagen von wem.

Candy- wrapper- purse

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich hab letztes Jahr in New York ein ganz tolles Geschäft von OLLIN gefunden.

Diese Firma stellt Taschen , Geldbörsen und Mappen aus Schokoriegelpapier oder alten Magazinen her.

Die Sachen sind großartig und ich mag die Idee, das Dinge die sonst in den Müll geworfen werden, auf diese Art und Weise zu etwas tollem werden.

Ich hab bei YouTube eine Anleitung zur Herstellung dieser Taschen gefunden und ein Portemonnaie sowie einen Armreif aus (vorher mit Klebeband beschichtetem) Zeitungspapier gemacht.

Gar nicht schlecht oder?

 Last year I found the really cool shop by Ollin when I was in New York.
This company produces bags, purses and wallets made ​​of chocolate bar wrappers or old magazines.
The stuff is great and I like the idea that things that are usually thrown in the garbage, become something really pretty by recycling this way.
I found a tutorial on YouTube for candy- wrapper- bags and made a purse and a bracelet out of a newspaper that I previously coated with adhesive tape.
Not bad right?

Hallo meine Lieben

meine Dozentin hat mir und meinen Kommilitoninen eine Blankobuch mitgebracht und uns ermuntert ein Kunst-Tagebuch zu führen. Ich habe das vorher nie gemacht aber nun finde ich es großartig und benutze es oft.

Mein letzter Eintrag war zu Ehren meiner Muse.

Man muss gut zu ihr sein, ihr geben was sie will, sie immer willkommen heißen, denn nie kommt sie zur falschen Zeit. Wenn ihr gut zu ihr seid, wird sie euch nie verlassen, euch inspirieren und euer Leben verändern.

Passt gut auf eure Muse und euch selber auf.

my instructor brought me and my fellow students a blank book and encouraged us to write an art journal. I  never did that before but now I think it's great  and I use it often.
My last entry was to honor my muse.
You have to be kind to her, give her what she wants, she always has to be welcome, because she never visits you at the wrong time. If you are good to her, she will never abandon you. She´ll inspire you and change your life.

Inspiration Avenue - "Primavera" and third blogoversery

Hallo meine Lieben

Das Thema von Inspiration Avenue ist diese Woche "Primavera".

Ahh der Frühling, bringt er euch nicht auch zum Träumen?

Das Allerschönste ist der erste Moment im Frühling, wenn man ihn riecht.

Kennt ihr das?

Plötzlich riecht man Gras und Blüten und all die Gerüche die Monate lang verschwunden waren und von uns schon fast vergessen.

Man dreht sich um und sieht Knospen und junge Blätter die Gestern noch nicht da waren.

Dieser Moment treibt mir immer Tränen der Rührung in die Augen,

ich kann es nicht ändern, ich bin hoffnungslos sentimental.

Ich bin sicher Herr und Frau Lampe geht es genauso.

Über mein philosophieren über den Frühling habe ich glatt vergessen, das ich gestern mein drittes Blogjahr vollendet habe.

Mann oh Mann, wie die Zeit vergeht.

Aber in dem Fall, keine vertane Zeit, sondern eine gute Zeit, die ich nicht missen möchte.

Hello my friends
The challenge of Inspiration Avenue this week is, "Primavera".
Ahh the spring, doesn´t it make you dream too ?
The most beautiful thing in spring is the first time when you can smell it.
Do you know what I am talking about?
Suddenly, you can smell the grass and flowers and all the other odors wich were gone for months and had almost been forgotten.
You turn around and you see the buds and young leaves wich weren´t there the day befor.
This moment makes me almost cry,for joy.
I can´t help it, I'm hopelessly sentimental.
I'm sure Mr. and Mrs.rabbit feel the same about it.

Philosophizing about spring, I completely forgot that yesterday I finished my third year of blogging.
Boy oh boy, time goes on so fast .
But in this case, the time is not wasted  but a good time,wich I do not want to miss.
So that´s enough for today

Happy New Year

Hallo meine Lieben,

Ich hoffe ihr hattet alle schöne Feiertage und einen guten

Rutsch ins neue Jahr.

Falls euch mein Neujahrsbild bekannt vorkommt dann liegt es daran,

dass ich mich sehr von dem von mir sehr geschätzten Eyvind Earle habe

inspirieren lassen.

Es ist mit Acrylfarbe auf Collagepapier gemacht.

Earle war ein wunderbarer Illustrator und hat unter anderm für Walt Disney gearbeitet.

Nachahmung ist doch die ehrlichste Form der Bewunderung ;0)

Morgen sind die Feiertage vorbei und die Arbeit fängt wieder an.

Ich hoffe ihr habt alle einen guten Start in die neue Woche.

Hello my friends

I hope you all had great holidays and a wonderfull new years start.

If my new- years- painting looks familiar to you, that may be because I was inspired by Eyvind Earle wich I admire a lot.

I painted it with acrylic colours on collage paper.

Earle was a wonderfull illustrator who worked amongst others for Walt Disney.

Imitation is the most honest way of admiration ;0)

Tomorrow the holidays are over and the working week starts again.

Dark Angel

Hallo ihr Lieben,

der Juli ist für mich ein sehr arbeitsreicher Monat, mit Seminaren, Veranstaltungen und einer Reihe unangenehmer Arzttermine. Deshalb gibt es auch nur einen klitzekleinen Post mit meinem neuen Bild, das ich wieder mit Buntstiften gemalt habe, der Heiligenschein ist aus Silberfolie.

ich beteilige mich in dieser Woche an der Challenge von Inspiration Avenue mit dem Titel Summersun.

Heute ist die Sommersonnenwende. Das ist ein magischer Zeitpunkt zu dem die Sonne seine größte Kraft entfaltet.

Mein Beitrag ist demnach diese Zeichnung mit dem Titel "Sommersonnenwende".

Ich habe es mit Bunt- und Filzstiften gemalt.

My entry is therefore the drawing entitled "Summer Solstice". 

I painted it with crayon and felt pens (or marker).

They draw and travel / Aachen - Aken - Aix la chapelle

Hallo meine Lieben

kennt ihr schon das neue Projekt von Nate und Sally?

Nach They draw and cook gibt es nun They draw and travel.

da ich kein Superkoch bin aber ein echter Globetrotter finde ich das super.

Mein Beitrag den ihr auch auf TDAT finden könnt zeigt allerdings meine Heimatstadt Aachen. Sie liegt im Dreiländereck neben Belgien und den Nieserlanden.

In der Mitte die Kathedrale aus dem Jahr 800. Rund um den Dom gibt es viele historische Gebäude, Brunnen und Denkmäler, wie dir römischen Säulen im "Hof", der Elisenbrunnen mit den Heilwasserquellen oder der Skulptur von dem Mädchen mit der großen Printe, einer Art Lebkuchen.

Do you know the new project of Nate and Sally?

After They draw and cook, they had a new website "They draw and travel".

Since I am not a hell of a cook but a real globetrotter, I appreciate that very much.

Mei entry for TDAT can be seen today and it shows my hometown Aachen.

It is in the very west of Germany, right at the border to Belgium and the Netherlands. In the center is the Emperor Cathedral that had been built in the late 8th Century. It is surrounded by other historical buildings like the roman columns in the "Hof", or the Elisenbrunnen, a fountain with healing water. Aachen is full of fountains and monuments, like this of the little girl with the great "Printe" a Gingerbread from Aachen.
