Up up and away

Meine Lieben,
ich hab euch ja schon im letzten Post berichtet, dass meine unzuverlässige Muse

Urlaub macht.

Und genau das werde auch ich jetzt tun.

Am Montag werden meine Mutter und ich zu unserem jährlichen Mutter- Tochter Urlaub aufbrechen.

Dies ist eine Tradition die ich sehr liebe. Es geht dieses Jahr nach Slowenien, einem atemberaubend schönen Land zwischen dem Meer und den Karawanken, zwischen Österreich, Ungarn, Kroatien und Italien. Ich verabschiede mich mit Flora, meinem letzten stümperhaften Bild.

Hello my friends,

as I told you in my last post, my trustless muse went away for holidays, and this is exactly what I am going to do now.

On monday my mum and me will start our annual mother- daughter- holidays.

This is a tradition, wich I love very much.

This year we will travel to Slovenia, a breathtaking and beautyful country between the sea and the Karawanken- mountains, between Austria, Hugary, Croatia and Italy.

I say goodbye with flora, my latest stuporous painting.

Herumgespielt / Playing around

Hallo meine Lieben,
meine Muse macht gerade Uraub, und deshalb fehlen mir die großen Inspirationen und zündenden Ideen. Deshalb habe ich noch ein wenig mit Malstil und Untergrund herumgespielt.
Habt ihr als Kinder auch Malbücher so geliebt wie ich? Es war phantastisch ein farbloses Bild bunt zu machen. Ich hab mir diesmal selber ein "Malbuchbild gemacht und es dann mit Buntstiften (wie damals...) angemalt. Wenn mir mal gar nichts einfällt, kann ich das ganz oft wiederholen und schauen, was dabei rauskommt (hehe).
Die kleine hübsche Hexe ist auf einer unbehandelten runden kleinen Holzscheibe mit Acrylfarbe gemalt. Ich glaub ich mache davon mehr als Halloween- Glas- Untersetzer.
Ich hoffe meine Muse hat sich irgendwo in der Karibik gut erholt und kommt bald wieder.

Hello my friends,
my muse is on holiday hence I don´t have any great inspirations or bright ideas. Therefor I played around with painting- style and surface.
Did you love painting books as much as I did when you where a child? It was phantastic to colour this colourless pictures and make something new of them. I made myself a painting-book-picture and after that I coloured it with coloured pencils, just like then. When I won´t have ideas anymore I can print this one and colour it again and again (hehe)
The pretty little whitch is painted on an untreated little wood- disc with acrylic paint. I think I should make more of these as Halloween-coaster.
I hope my muse has relaxed somewhere in the caribean sea and comes back soon.

Sayonara

Hallo meine Lieben,
ich hab nun schon länger kein neues Bild gemalt. Die letzten zwei Wochen waren sehr turbulent. In unserem Jugendzentrum gab es Kinderferienspiele. Wenn ich Abends nach Hause kam war ich fix und fertig und hab nicht mehr viel zustande gebracht. Ja, ja man wird älter.
Ich hab gestern aber ein neues Bild gemalt. Ich habe einen neuen Maluntergrund gewählt und das Bild mit Acryl auf einer runden Korkplatte gemalt.
Ich weis noch nicht genau wie ich die Kork als Medium finden soll, ich werde wohl noch eins machen müssen.

Hello my friends,
I didn´t paint for quiet a long time now. The last to weeks were very turbulent.
We had Childrens- Holiday- Games at our Youthcenter. When I came home in the evening I was wiped out and not able to do a lot. Well, well we all get older.
But yesterday I made a new one. I have choosen a new surface to paint on. This is acrylic- paint on a round cork- board. I am not sure what I should think about the qualities of cork as ground.
I will have to paint onother one.

Noch ist sommer aber.../Still summer, but...

der Herbst lässt nicht mehr lange auf sich warten. Ich habe hier ein Halloween- Bild, das ich schon vor einiger Zeit gemalt habe. Es ist mit Wasserfarben gemalt. Jacke und Hut der Katze sind sus Stoff, Knöpfen und Litze. Die Tüte läßt sich öffnen um etwas Süßes hineinzustecken. Ich sollte nicht vergessen das zu tun, denn ich weis nicht wozu die kleine Katze sonst fähig ist (hehehe).

it won´t be long till autumn is infront of our doors. I have made a Halloween- painting some times ago. It is painted with watercolours. Jacket and hat of the cat are made of fabric, lace and buttons. The bag is a real one to open, so I can put something sweet in it. I shall not forget this. I don´t know what treat little Kity would have otherwise for me (hehehe).

Schwer wird es dann, wenn es heißt sie weiterzugeben und diesbezüglich eine Entscheidung treffen zu müssen. Phantastische Künstler und nette Menschen habe ich hier viele kennenlernen dürfen, aber es sind zwei die mich immer zum Lächeln bringen.

Cathy Mendola. I can´t think of something better, that to make you smile by the use of my blog and my paintings. Therefor I cherish this award a lot. Thank you dear Cathy!

It becomes hard, when its time to pass the award to others, and to make a decision. I was lucky to meet a lot of phantastic artists and nice people here, but it is two people, who allways make me smile. These are Julie- Ann of "Heavenleigh Art", her paintings are so beautiful, her videos screaming and she allways leaves the nicest, funniest and encouraging comments. Illustartion Friday <> Ungeduld / Impatience

Hallo meine Lieben,
Ungeduld ist das dieswöchige Thema bei "Illustration Friday". Die junge Dame wartet mit brennender Ungeduld auf einen Brief oder ein Zeichen ihrer heimlichen und großen Liebe.
Grad eben habe ich eine Jane Austin Verfilmung im Fernsehen gesehen, das sagt ja wohl alles (hehehe).
Gemalt ist es mit Acrylfarben auf Holz, welches mit Tissuepapier beklebt und dann schwarz grundiert wurde.
Falls euch diese Technik bekannt vorkommt, dann habt ihr recht. Diese Art zu malen ist typisch für die Bilder von Julie- Ann. Sie hat ein paar tolle Videos auf Youtube und ihrem Blog "Heavenleigh Art", auf denen sie zeigt wie man Bilder mit dieser Technik machen kann.
Danke Julie- Ann du bist eine tolle Lehrerin, und mit UNGEDULD warte ich schon auf dein nächstes Tutorial.

Hello my friends,
Impatience is the topic of "Illustration Friday" for this week. This young Lady waits with burning impatience for a letter or a sign from her big and secret love.
I just saw that Jane Austin- film in television today. I guess that says all (hehehe).
I used acrylic paint on wood, wich I covered first with tissuepaper and than painted it black.
If that technic sounds familiar to you, than you are right.
That is just the way that Julie- Ann makes her paintings. She had some great How-to-Videos on Youtube and her blog "Heavenleigh Art", where she shows how to paint with that technic.
Julie- Ann you are an awesome teacher and with IMPATIENCE I wait for more of your tutorials.
