Hallo meine Lieben,

Ich hoffe ihr hattet alle schöne Feiertage und einen guten

Rutsch ins neue Jahr.

Falls euch mein Neujahrsbild bekannt vorkommt dann liegt es daran,

dass ich mich sehr von dem von mir sehr geschätzten Eyvind Earle habe

inspirieren lassen.

Es ist mit Acrylfarbe auf Collagepapier gemacht.

Earle war ein wunderbarer Illustrator und hat unter anderm für Walt Disney gearbeitet.

Nachahmung ist doch die ehrlichste Form der Bewunderung ;0)

Morgen sind die Feiertage vorbei und die Arbeit fängt wieder an.

Ich hoffe ihr habt alle einen guten Start in die neue Woche.

Hello my friends

I hope you all had great holidays and a wonderfull new years start.

If my new- years- painting looks familiar to you, that may be because I was inspired by Eyvind Earle wich I admire a lot.

I painted it with acrylic colours on collage paper.

Earle was a wonderfull illustrator who worked amongst others for Walt Disney.

Imitation is the most honest way of admiration ;0)

Tomorrow the holidays are over and the working week starts again.

Halo meine Süßen,

der kleine Spatz mag von Kuchen träumen, wir weden Weihnachten bestimmt zuviel essen.

Also ich ganz bestimmt!

Die Schlemmerei fing diese Woche schon an. Eine Weihnachtsfeier und mein Geburtstag haben mir bestimmt zwei zusätzliche Kilos eingebracht.

Nun da sie und ihr Geliebter voneinander getrennt sind, das sie nichts dagegen tun. Sie muss sich immer die alten sentimentalen Lieder anhören. Besonders játtendrai von Rina Ketty, denn genau das ist es was sie tut. Warten.

Now, that she and her lover are seperated, she can´t help it. She allways has to listen so that old sentimental music. Especially játtendrai by Rina Ketty, cause that is all she can do, wait.

Weinachtszeit- Holzzeit / Christmast time- wood time

Hallo meine Lieben

ich bin wieder vollständig genesen, und freue mich nun auf Weihnachten.

Letztes Jahr hat mir mein Albert eine Drechselbank zum Geburtstag geschenkt, und ich finde, das Holzarbeiten ganz hervorragend zu Weihnachten passen.

Kennz ihr Tscheikowskys Nussknacker?

Ich liebe den Mäusekönig und habe ihn auf einer Kuchenplatte verewigt.

Den Fuß habe ich aus einem Stück Buchenholz gedrechselt.

Dann habe ich mich an kleinere Formen herangewagt.

So entstand der Pilz, der meinen Wichteln nun Gesellschaft leistet.

Und weil das so schön geklappt hat, habe ich eine Spieluhr gemacht.

Mit Hilfe einer alten Zigarrenkiste, einem Uhrwerk, das "Stille Nacht spielt, Schnee- Strukturpaste

und einiger gedrechselter Figuren. Die Spieldose ist ein echtes Gemeinschaftswerk, den Albert hat die Tannenbäume gemacht und ich das Mädchen und den Schneemann.

Weihnachten kann kommen.

Gladfully I am fully recoverd and now I am looking foreward to christmas

Last year Albert gave me a wood- turning- machine for birthday.

I think woodwork and christmas belong together.

Du you know Tchaikowskys Nutcracker?

I love the King of Mice and painted him on a cake- stand.

I turned the base from a piece of beech- wood.

Then I tried some smaller figures.

Like the mushroom wich accompanies my two gnomes.

And because this went so good, I tried to make a musical box.

You require an old cigar- box, a clockwork playing "silent night", snow- structure-paste

and some little figures. The music- box is a real teamwork, cause Albert turned the trees and I the girl and snowman- figure.

Christmas can come

Happy Halloween

Hallo ihr Lieben
Meine Operation ist ziemlich gut verlaufen, aber nachdem ich nun glaubte, alles hinter mir zu haben plagen mich seltsame Schmerzen.

Ich bin dieses Jahr nicht in der rechten Halloweenstimmung gewesen, was sicherlich an meinen gesundheitlichen Problemen aber auch am Wetter liegt. Während es an der Ostküste der USA schneit, haben wir hier tagsüber 20 Grad.

Das ist wundervoll, aber nicht sehr herbstlich.

Ich habe gestern noch einen sommerlichen Blumenstrauss gepflückt. Daneben sind Kürbisse und ein voradventlicher Weihnachtsstern meine Küchendekoration.

Ich habe zwei Halloweenbilder für euch. Lady in orange und Katze mit Hut.

Ich wünsche euch eine tolle Nacht.

Hallo my friends

My surgery went well, but after I

believed everything is fortunatly over now, I have got this strange pain.
This year I haven´t been in the right Halloween mood, which has something to do with my health issues but also depends on the weather. While it's snowing at the east coast of the USA, we have 20°C here in Germany.

This is wonderful, but not very autumnal.

Yesterday, I still picked a summer bouquet. In addition, are pumpkins and a poinsettia my kitchen decor.

I have two halloween paintings for you. The Lady in orange and Cat with hat.

A wedding and a surgery

Hallo meine Lieben,

es ist schon wieder lange her.

Ich habe mit meiner Weiterbildung angefangen.

Ich genieße die Stunden an der Uni sehr. Es ist schön wieder etwas zu lernen.

Meine älteste Freundin hat geheiratet. Ich hatte die Ehre ihre Trauzeugin zu sein.

Dieses Bild habe ich nach einem Foto von ihr gemalt. Es zeigt sie und ihren Mann bei ihrem ersten gemeinsamen Urlaub in Metz.

Und Dienstag werde ich schließlich operiert.

Ich hoffe das alles gut geht und man auch ohne Gallenblase angenehm leben kann.

Wenn alles vorbei ist werde ich euch alle besuchen, das verspreche ich euch.

It has been a while since last time I wrote something

I started with my studies.

I enjoy the lessons at university very much.

It is nice to learn again something new.

My best friend got married. I was her maid of honor.I painted this picture after a photograph of her.

It shows her and her husband on their first holiday together in Metz.

And Tuesday there will be my surgery

I hope everything goes well and that you really can live comfortably without a gall bladder.

Back again

Hallo meine Lieben,
ich hab mich im August ganz schön rar gemacht.
Ich hatte viel Arbeit und meine Kreativität ist ein wenig auf der Strecke geblieben.
Darüber hinaus hatte ich Gallenkoliken, die bald eine Opertion nötig machen werden.
Aber bevor es soweit ist, bin ich mit meiner Mama 12 Tage in New York gewesen.

OHHH war das schön. Diese Stadt ist so fantastisch und so überraschend.

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass die New Yorker so freundlich, hilfsbereit und diszipliniert sind. (Das letzte Mal, das ich Leute brav in einer Reihe auf den Bus habe warten sehen, war in London vor 20 Jahren !!).

Es ist wie Alicia Keys singt:
"This streets will make you feel brand new, big lights will inspire you."
Ich fühl mich sehr inspiriert und fühle mich schon viel besser.

I've made myself pretty scarce in August.

I had a lot of work and my creativity is fallen by the wayside.
In addition, I had gallbladder attacks, which make a surgery necessary.

This city is so fantastic and so surprising.

(The last time I saw people standing lined up in a queue,waiting patiently for a bus,was in London 20 years ago!).

ich habe in letzter Zeit nicht viel gemalt, aber ich genieße die Natur und alle ihr Schätze.

Diesen wunderschönen Blumenstrauß habe ich unweit meiner Haustüre gepflückt.

I didn´t do much paintings recently, but I enjoy nature and all its treasures

I picked this lovely flowers nearby my house.

Ich mag den Duft von Kamille, er ist für mich untrennbar mit dem Sommer verbunden.

I love the scent of camomile, he is unseperable associated with summer.

Die getrocknete Kamillenblüten sollten in keiner Hausapotheke fehlen.

Ich glaube ich muss noch ein wenig mehr ernten, wenn es bis zum nächsten Sommer reichen soll.

The dried blossoms of camomile should not be missed in any medicine chest.

I guess I must do some more harvesting, when the blossoms should last until next summer.

Hallo meine Lieben,

nach dem ich meine ärztlichen Untersuchungen glücklich

hinter mich gebracht habe und am Freitag eine

ekelige Zahnwurzelbehandlung überstanden habe

kehre ich zurück an meinen PC.

Ich hab heute einen wunderschönen Spaziergang gemacht

und ich möchte euch mitnehmen und zeigen

wie schön es hier bei mir ist, aber zuerst habe ich für euch das

neuste Bild von einer der kleinen Amseln.

Wenn ich meine Straße runter gehe, bin ich nach 200 m im Wurmtal.

Die Wurm ist ein kleiner Fluss, der unweit meiner Haustür durch die Auenlandschaft mäandert.

IF- "Remedy" or "Embrace Yourself"

Hallo ihr Lieben

Das IF- Thema der Woche ist remedy und das ist ein Heilmittel.
Ein Heilmittel gegen Unsicherheit, das Gefühl von Unzulänglichkeit und Selbstzweifel, die uns alle hin und wieder befallen, ist es, sich selber anzunehmen zu Lieben und gut zu sich selber zu sein.
Wir müssen alle gut auf uns selber aufpassen. Wenn wir Glück haben, und ich gehört zu den Glücklichen, sind wir nicht alleine und es gibt jemanden der auf uns achtgibt, aber manchmal gibt es in unserem Leben niemanden außer uns selber, und deshalb müssen wir gut auf uns aufpassen uns selber lieb haben und das nie vergessen.
Als ich das Bild malte, fiel mir auf, das die Arme der Frau ein Herz bilden, und so ist dieses
Logo entstanden.

The IF topic of the week is remedy.
A cure for insecurity, feelings of inadequacy and self doubt that we all feel now and then, it is to take yourself as you are, to love and be good to yourself.
We all have to take care very well of ourselves. If we're lucky, and I belong to the lucky ones, we are not alone and there is someone who takes care of us too, but sometimes we are just alone and therefore we should love ourselfes, and never forget this.
When I made the picture, I recognized that the arms of the woman build a heart, and so this Logo was born.

Halloween Cats - Acrylic paint versus markers

Hallo ihr Lieben,
trotz brüllender Hitze konnte ich nicht wiederstehen zwei kleine Halloweenbilder zu malen, denn nach Halloween ist vor Halloween ( hi hi).
Das erste Bild habe ich mit meinen Lieblingsfarben den Filzstiften auf Leinwand gemalt, das untere ist mit Acrylfarben auf Holz gemacht.

der Sommer kam heute wieder und mit ihm die Lust auf eine schöne kühle Limonade.
Ein Foto in einer Zeitschrift hat mich zu diesem Bild inspiriert. Ich habe Acrylfarben und Collagepapier (für die Girlanden) dafür verwendet
Morgen soll ein besonders heißer Tag sein, behaltet einen kühlen Kopf und genießt die Sonne

Hello everyone,

the summer came back today and with it the fancy for a nice cool lemonade.

A photograph in a magazine has inspired me to do this painting.
I used acrylic paint and collage paper ( for the garlands).

Tomorrow will be a particularly hot day,at least here in Germany.

Heute ist die Sommersonnenwende. Das ist ein magischer Zeitpunkt zu dem die Sonne seine größte Kraft entfaltet.

Hallo meine Freunde,

Mein Freund und ich sind in der Slovakei in Urlaub gewesen.

Dieses kleine Land ist wunderschön. Die Hauptstadt Bratislava ist bezaubernd,es gibt mit der Hohen Tatra große Berge, es gibt Seen und Burgen, kleine Dörfer mit Holzkirchen,in denen die Zeit still zu stehen scheint und eine wunderbare Flora und Fauna. Nie sah ich zuvor einen der seltenen Schwarzstörche und nie so viele Bienenstöcke.

My friend and I have been to Slovakia for holidays.

This small country is beautiful. The capital Bratislava is charming, with the High Tatras they have big mountains, there are lakes and castles, small villages with wooden churches, in which time seems to stand still and a wonderful flora and fauna. I never saw before one of the rare black storks and never so many bee-hives. I wish you a good start in the week

Hallo meine Lieben,
so eine Freude! Ich habe einen Artikel in meiner liebsten Zeitschrift "Mein Kreativ Atelier".
Unter der Rubrik Leserkunst sind drei meiner Bilder und ein wirklich schöner Artikel erschienen.
Das ist für einen Dilettanten wie mich eine große Freude.
Ihr seht oben den Entwurf den mir die Redakteurin zugeschickt hatte (dort fehlen die genauen Angaben zu den Bildern), aber ich habe keinen Scanner und ein Foto von der Seite war nicht so scharf.
Heute ist ein rchtig schöner Tag.

such a joy! I have an articel in my favourite magazin "Mein Kreativ Atelier".
In the category  readers- art they published three of my paintings and a really great articel. That is a great joy for a dilettante like me. kennt ihr schon das neue Projekt von Nate und Sally?

Nach They draw and cook gibt es nun They draw and travel.

da ich kein Superkoch bin aber ein echter Globetrotter finde ich das super.

Mein Beitrag den ihr auch auf TDAT finden könnt zeigt allerdings meine Heimatstadt Aachen. Sie liegt im Dreiländereck neben Belgien und den Nieserlanden.

In der Mitte die Kathedrale aus dem Jahr 800. Rund um den Dom gibt es viele historische Gebäude, Brunnen und Denkmäler, wie dir römischen Säulen im "Hof", der Elisenbrunnen mit den Heilwasserquellen oder der Skulptur von dem Mädchen mit der großen Printe, einer Art Lebkuchen.

Hello my friends

Do you know the new project of Nate and Sally?

After They draw and cook, they had a new website "They draw and travel".

Since I am not a hell of a cook but a real globetrotter, I appreciate that very much.

Mei entry for TDAT can be seen today and it shows my hometown Aachen.

It is in the very west of Germany, right at the border to Belgium and the Netherlands. In the center is the Emperor Cathedral that had been built in the late 8th Century. It is surrounded by other historical buildings like the roman columns in the "Hof", or the Elisenbrunnen, a fountain with healing water. Aachen is full of fountains and monuments, like this of the little girl with the great "Printe" a Gingerbread from Aachen.

Hallo meine Lieben
Nach dem ich mich schon so gefreut habe, das ich nun wieder in meinem Blog komme und in mein Dashboard, musste ich heute feststellen, dass ich bei Euch plötzlich keinen Kommentar hinterlassen kann.
Ich schreibe einen Kommentar, dann soll ich mich bei Blogger wieder mit meinem Passwort annehmen, und.... es wird nicht erkannt, obwohl ich mich bei meinem Blog schon angemeldet habe.

Anne hat geschrieben, sie hätte so ein Problem auch schon mal gehabt.

After I've been so happy, that I have access to my blog and my dashboard again, now I can`t leave you any comment.
After writing a comment, Bloggers asks me to re-enter my password, and .... it is not recognized, even though I've been logged into my blog already.
Help!
Anne wrote that she has had such a problem before.
Is there anything I can do, or can I just wait?

Dragonhouse- Project finished!

Hallo meine Lieben,

könnt ihr euch noch an mein Drachenhausprojekt erinnern?

Die zugemauerten Fenster auf der Ostseite unseres Hauses sind zum Eingang in die Welt eines Drachen geworden. Ich hatte befürchtet, dass die Besucher des Friedhofs, der gegenüber ist, Anstoß nehmen könnten.

Das war bisher nicht so. Ich habe aber viel positive Resonanz gehört und ich freue mich immer besonders, wenn staunende kinder vorbei spazieren.

Sicherheitshalber habe ich aber noch einen winzig kleinen Ritter dazu gemalt. Falls sich also jemand über dieses Phantasybild beschwert, dann kann ich ja behaupten, der Kleine wäre der heilige Georg und mein Wandbild wäre ein religiöse Darstellung (he he he).

Tatsächlich sieht es für Don Blech nicht gut aus. Ich glaube ja, der Drache wird ihn wegschnipsen.

Tja, manchmal gewinnt der Drache.

Gut so.

Hier könnt ihr noch mal sehen wie alles anfing und wie es nun ausschaut.

Hello my friends,

Can you still recall my dragon house project?

The walled-up windows on the east side of our house have become the entrance to the world of a dragon. I was afraid that the visitors to the cemetery, which is opposite might take offense.

Fortunatly, this was not the case. But I have heard a lot of positive feedback and I'm always happy especially when children walk over with big eyes and a smile on their faces.

As a precaution I painted a tiny knight with the dragon. If someone complains about this phantasypicture, I can tell, that the little knight is St. George and that my painting is a religious one (he he he).
In fact, it does not look good for Georgie.

I think the dragon will flip him away.

Well, sometimes the dragon wins.

Right so.

Bloggers Freud, Bloggers Leid / The joy and worry of blogging

Hallo ihr Lieben,
ja ich bin es tatsächlich.
Es scheint so, als ob ich das Interesse an meinem Blog und an euren verloren habe.
Das ist ganz und gar nicht so, aber ich habe mich ernsthaft gefragt wie meine Einstellung zu der ganzem Blogging- Sache ist.
Ich liebe meinen Blog. Es hat mir immer viel Freude gemacht, euch an meiner Arbeit und meinem Leben teilhaben zu lasse. Ich bin begeistert über jeden eurer Kommentare und das surfen durch eure Blogs ist bunt und schön und inspirierend.
Alles war gut und eine Bereicherung.
Ich habe jeden neuen Leser bejubelt und ernsthaft versucht allen gerecht zu werden.
Aber bei 30 Lesern ist das einfacher als bei 130.
Und plötzlich, ganz langsam wurde aus dem leichten und freudvollen Austausch eine Verpflichtung.
Ich hatte ein schlechtes Gewissen, wenn ich nicht regelmässig eine Runde durch eure Blogs gemacht habe. Im richtigen Leben ist bei mir zur Zeit viel los. Abgesehen von meiner Familie und meinen Freunden, meinem Vollzeitjob als Erzieherin in einer Jugendfreizeitenrichtung, dem Haus und dem Garten werde ich bald noch mal zur Uni gehen und mich in pädagogischer Kunsttherapy weiterbilden. Meine beste Freundin heiratet und ich bin ihre Trauzeugin (Da gibt es einiges zu tun. Ich hatte ja keine Ahnung) und deshalb habe ich in letztes Zeit darüber nachgedacht, ob ich meinen Blog schließen soll.
Aber das will ich doch gar nicht!!!
Dann geschah die Computer- Katastrophe! Ich kam nicht mehr in mein Dashboard. Zugriff verweigert!!!
Egal was ich tat, das Kennwort bei Blogger ändern, Blogger-Hilfe-Seiten kontaktieren, sämtliche Virenschutzprograsmme auf dir Jagd gehen lasen,
ich kam nicht in meinen Blog!
Und dann hab ich es halt gelassen.
Stattdessen sind mein Albert und ich in Urlaub gefahren und haben uns in der Slowakei (einem tollen Land) entspannt.
Als ich gestern zurückkam, habe ich wie durch ein Wunder wieder Zugang zu meinem Blog gehabt und mich sehr darüber gefreut.
Ich sag euch was ich tun werde.
Ich werde posten, wenn ich Lust dazu habe, ich werde eure Blogs besuchen, wenn mir danach ist und ich Zeit und Musse dafür habe.
Ich bin sicher, ihr werdet verstehen, wenn das nicht ständig ist.
Ich könnte mir vorstellen euch geht es manchmal genau so.
So das war´s für jetzt.

Hello my friends,

yes it´s actually me.
It seems as if I've lost interest in my blog and in yours.
That is entirely not so, but I'm seriously wondering how my attitude to the whole blogging thing is.
I love my blog. It was a great pleasure to share my work and my life with you. I'm excited about all of your comments and surfing through your blogs is colorful and beautiful and inspiring.
Everything was good and enriching.
I have cheered every new reader and I was seriously attempt to do them justice.
But that is much simple with 30 readers than with 130.
And suddenly, slowly the light and joyful sharing became a commitment.
I felt guilty if I have not done a tour of your blogs regularly. In real life a lot of things did heppen. Apart from my family and my friends, my full time job in the youth-center, the house and the garden I will go to university soon and study educational art therapy. My best friend gets married and I am her maid of honor (There is some work to do. I had no idea) so I've been thinking lately about whether I should close my blog or not.
But I don´t want to do that!
Then came the computer-disaster!
I could not get into my dashboard. Access denied!
No matter what I did, change the password for Blogger, contacting Blogger help pages , activating all security programms, I couldn´t get into my blog!
And then I left it.
Instead, my Albert and I went on holiday and hade a great time in Slovakia (a marvellous country).
When I came back yesterday, I hade miraculously again access to my blog and was very happy about that.
I tell you what I'll do.
I'll post when I feel like it, I will visit your blogs when I feel like it and I have time and leisure for that.
I am sure you will understand, when this is not all the time.
I suppose you feel sometimes the same about that subject.
So that's it for now.

ein neues buntes Sommerkleid genäht,

es ist nun schon wieder eine ganze Weile her, dass ich mich um meinen Blog gekümmert und euch besucht habe.Aber ihr wisst ja wie das ist. Im Frühling ist immer so viel zu tun. Der Garten muss hergerichtet werden, der Frühjahrputz steht an, und ich habe weiter am Drachenhausprojekt gearbeitet (davon demnächst mehr).Letzte Woche jedoch war ich mit meinem lieben Patenkind in Paris. Es war wunderbar und wir hatten das allerschönste Frühlingswetter.Am bezaubernsten war unsere Bootsfahrt am Abend. Ich habe hier ein paar Bilder für euch. Nicht, dass ihr die nicht schon alle 1000 mal gesehen habt, aber sie sind immer wieder schön...

Hello my friends, is has been a while since I payed attention to my blog and since I visited you. But you know how it is. Spring is such a busy time. My garden was a mess and than there is the spring- cleaning and I went on working on my "Dragon- house- projekt" ( more about that soon). But last week I took a time out with my sweet goddaughter in Paris. It was so beautiful and we had the best spring- weather. Most wonderfull was our boottrip by night. I have some pictures for you. I bet you have seen this sights a thousand times, but they are allways wonderfull.

Artist Portrait Of Albrecht Dürer

Hallo meine Lieben,

ich hab nun längere Zeit nichts mehr gepostet, weil ich mit Albrecht Dürer bechäftigt war.

Für dieses Portrait habe ich zwei Selbstportraits von Dürer, einige Holzschnitte und Landschaftsbilder als Vorlage genommen.

Auf der Leinwand im Hintergrund sind einige Szenen aus seinen Holzschnitten zu sehen.

Ich habe ihn im Freien gezeichnet, weil er die Natur oft gemalt hat.

Er liebte große Laubbäume und malte häufig graue Wolken.

Nun er war Deutscher, graue Wolken sind hier nicht so selten.

Dürer ist einer meiner Lieblingsmaler.

Er war ein selbstbewußter Freigeist und ein echter "Rockstar".

Er war Deutschlands erster Künstler!

Zwar hat es auch vorher schon gute und talentierte Maler gegeben, aber die verstanden sich als Handwerker.

Dürer war zwei Mal in Italien und brachte nicht nur neue Ideen mit sondern auch ein neues Selbstverständnis.

Er war der erste Maler, der nicht nur die üblichen Motive malte, sondern für ihn war alles der Betrachtung und der Kunst wert.

Weltberühmt sind seine betenden Hände und der Feldhase.

Besonders schön ist aber auch sein Aquarell "Das große Rasenstück", auf dem er Wildblumen darstellte.

Er hat nicht nur toll gemalt sondern sich auch des damaligen Massenmediums Hochdrucks bedient und viele populäre Holzschnitte für Flugblätter entworfen.

Heute hätte er gewisse eine tolle Homepage und würde mit digitaler Kunst experimentieren.

Und noch etwas, er war der erste der ein Label entworfen hat.

Er ist sozusagen der Pate des Graphik- Designs.

Sein Kürzel AD ist auf jedem seiner Bilder sichtbar.

Manchmal hat er einen Anhänger, ein Buch oder einen anderen Gegenstand mit diesen Initialien in die Bilder gemalt.

Ich hab es mir mit seinem Portrait nicht leicht gemacht, aber ich glaube es ist mir gelungen.

Lasst euch von Albrecht inspirieren, das funktioniert auch heute nach 500 Jahren noch.

I didn´t post for quiet a while because I was working on Albrecht Duerer. For this portrait I took two self-portrais, some woodcuts and some landscape-paintings as model.

On the canvas in the background you can see some scenes from his woodcuts.

I painted Albrecht outdoor because he often painted nature.

He loved big broadleaf- trees and he often painted grey clouds.

Well, he was German. Grey clouds are not that rare here.

Duerer is one of my favourite artists.

He was a self- assured free-spirit and a real "Rockstar".

He was Germanys first artist!

There were good and talented painters before, but they understood themeselfes as craftsmen.

Duerer had been twice in Italy. He brought back new ideas and a new self- image.

He was the first artist who did not just painted conventional motifs,

for him everything was worth consideration and art.

Worldfamous are his praying hands and the hare.

Especially beautiful ist his watercolour painting "the big sod".

But he wasn´t just a great painter, he used the new mass-media of letter press printing and made a lot of populare woodcuts for flyers.

I am sure, today he would have a great website and he would propably experiment with digital art.

By the way, he was the first artist who designed a label.

He is so to speak the godfather of graphik- design.

His initials AD are on all his paintings.

Sometimes he painted tags, books or other items, showing this initials in his paintings. It wasn´t an easy job painting Albrecht Duerers Portrait, but I think I did it well.

Let Albrecht inspire you. This still works even after 500 years.

One world one heart/ gifts and thoughts

Hello my friends

Yesterday I recived the last of eight gifts I won in the "One world one heart" blogparty.

I am so thankfull for this wonderful opportunity to get to know other people from all over the world, and of cause happy to have won this awesome items.

But what has been left, beside the gifts that some of us did win.

I felt that the world is a much smaller place than I thought before.

I learned that the other participiants from all over the world are just like me.

Creative, passionat, careing, silly and crazy.

But since friday I feel that the world as we know it is falling into pieces.

I know, that my blog-friend Bella is from Japan, she lived there. I hope so much that her family and friends are well and save.

But thousands of men, women and children aren´t. People just like us.

I can´t watch TV without crying.

No matter how far away Japan might be from your country, this is a global catastrophy.

What those people go through is beyond all bearings.

And this can happen everywhere to everybody.

I hope with all my heart that the leaders of this world will learn to work together for the benefit of the people and mother earth.

Hallo ihr Lieben,

habt ihr als Kinder auch so gern mit

Holzklötzen gespielt?

Ich habe meine bunten Klötze geliebt

und habe direkt zugegriffen als mein Albert

diese Klötze zum Feuerholz packen wollte.

Das Beste daran ist, dass man sie von allen

Seiten beschriften kann und dann kann man

herrlich mit ihnen spielen und neue Worte bilden.

Dafür ist man doch nie zu alt.

Erst einmal danke für die lieben Geburtstagswünsche für meine Mama.

Sie war sehr gerührt, hat aber mit mir schimpfen müssen, weil ich mich so missverständlich ausgedrückt habe. Sie hatte vor ein paar Wochen Geburtstag.

Hier ist seit Donnerstag der Karneval beherrschend.

Auch wenn die Sonne sich zeigt ist es immer noch ganz schön kalt, jedenfalls kalt genug für Handschuhe. Ich hab mir ein paar gehäkelt die mich am Rosenmontag warm halten sollen.

Hier im Rheinland kommt man nicht daran vorbei (hi hi).

Hello my friends

First of all, I want to say thank you for your sweet birthday wishes for my mum.

She was honestly touched, but she rebuked me for expressing so mistakable. Her birthday is a few weeks ago, when I said she is today 70, I ment she is nowadays 70.

Since Thursday here rules Carneval. This is like your Mardi Gras.

Even allthough the sun is shining it is still cold enough to wear gloves. I crocheted some that will have to keep me warm on monday, when the carnival procession will be in the streets.

In this part of Germany you can´t hide (hi hi).

I´ll be back on Wednsday, when the madness is over

zum Thema der Three Muses "Vorfahren" habe ich

ein Bild meiner Mutter bearbeitet.

Es ist ein Jahr vor meiner Geburt aufgenommen worden.

Heute ist meine Mama 70 Jahre alt und immer noch eine sehr schöne Frau.

Die Blumen sind aus einem Foto, dass ich in den belgischen, königlichen Gärten von Laeken gemacht habe, als ich mit meiner Mama letztes Jahr dort war.

Hallo ihr Lieben,

Dieses Wochenende wird etwas besonderes für eine Land sein,

dass zu besuchen ich letztes Jahr die Freude hatte.

Ich finde es wunderbar, dass das ägyptische Volk seinen Diktator auf so friedliche Weise losgeworden ist.

Das erinnert mich an den Zusammenbruch der DDR und an die Menschen auf der Straße die riefen, wir sind das Volk. Wenn Menschen sich zusammenschließen können sie eine Menge bewirken.

Als ich in Ägypten war, sah ich überall Plakate wie dieses auf welchen sich Mubarak als Pharao und Vater des Volkes feiern ließ. Das ist nun vorbei und hoffentlich hat Ägypten nun eine Chance auf Demokratie.

Ich wünsche euch allen ein schönes Wochenende einen glücklichen Valentinstag und Friede, wo immer ihr auch sein mögt.

This weekend will be very special for a country

wich I had the pleasure to visit last year.

I think it is wonderful that the egyptian people

get rid of their dictator in that peaceful way.

This reminds me of the decline of the German Democratic Republic in 1989, when thousends of people where on the streets shouting "We are the people".

When people stand together they can reach so much.

When I have been in Egypt I saw huge posters like this with Mubarak on them, who celebrated him as Pharao and father of the people.

This is over now, and I hope Egypt will have a chance for democraty now.

I wish all of you a happy weekend, a beautiful Valentine and peace whereever you are.

die Teilnahme an OWOH hat mir viel Spaß gemacht und da ich in den letzten Tagen so viele tolle neue Blogs von Frauen aus aller Welt besucht habe,

gibt es hier nun ein weiteres Bild aus meiner Serie: Woman of the world. Ich habe eure Vorschläge nicht vergessen, die von euch vorgeschlagenen Länder kommen auch noch dran, doch ich habe mich an meine Reise von 2009 nach Kuba erinnert. Es war wunderschön und die Frauen haben mir sehr imponiert.

Participating in OWOH was great and since I visited so many great blogs the last days from women all over the world, I made another painting from my series: Women of the world.

I did not forget your nominations. The countries you mentioned will be the next, but I thought about my journey to Cuba in 2009. It was beautiful and the women impressed me am lot.

I found a new cool widget, the mix-pod, you find it down on my right sidebar. It contains my favourite music from all over the world.

I wonder if you, my american blogger- friends know a lot of music from outside the USA. Your Music- industry is so enormous big, there may be no more room for foreign music. I don´t know, but I think so.

Sie wußte das sie ihn verloren hatte. Als sie sah, wie er die Andere anschaute, mußte sie ihre Niederlage eingestehen. Das was geschehen war, konnte sie nicht rückgängig machen.

She knew, that she lost him. When she recogniced how he looked at the other women, she had to admit her reversal. She couldn´t reverse what has happend.

For those who don´t know me yet, you can see that I do a lot of things. I love to paint, to draw, to sew, I love woodturning and I love to play around with new materials and technics.

IF <> surrender /aufgeben

Butch hatte ein schönes Hubdeleben, ein weiches Hundebett, volle Fressnäpfe und die ungeteilte Aufmerksamkeit seines Herrchens und dann kam Caruso und stellte sein Leben auf den Kopf. Butch wollte ihn verjagen, er knurrte und versuchte ihm zu drohen und war eifersüchtig darauf bedacht die Nummer eins bei seinem Herrchen zu bleiben. Er hatte aber nicht damit gerechnet, dass Caruso ihn lieb haben würde und deshalb blieb inichts anderes übrig als zu kapitulieren und Caruso in sein Herz zu lassen und in sein Leben.

Butch had a great dog- life, a cosy dog- bed, full feeding- bowls and the undivided attention of his master and then came caruso and turned his life upside down. Butch wanted to banish him, he groweled and tried to thread Caruso. He was jelously anxious, that he was still his masters number one. But he didn´t reckon that Caruso would love him and hence he had no other choice than to surrender and to let him in his heart and life.

Ich hab mich gestern ein ein größeres Projekt gewagt und male das Portrait einer Dame mit Rennaissance Kleid und Haarschmuck. Ich bin ein großer Vereherer der alten Meister und ihrer Kunst aber ich kann meine Dame eben nur auf meine Art malen und ich benutze Acryfarbe und nicht Öl (das stinkt so ;0).

Yeaterday I had the courage to start a larger project and to paint a lady with a rennaissance dress and hairdo. I adore the mastership of the renaissance painters. Well I can just do it my way and I do it with acrylic paint instead of oil- colours (they smell so terrible :0).

ich finde es klasse wieviel Resonanz ihr mir für mein letztes Bild gegeben habt.

Es waren viele schöne Reiseziele dabei, die ich alle besuchen werde wie

Kroatien

Papua- Neuguinea

Italien

Spanien

Irland

Jamaika

Japan

und ich bekam eine Einladung nach New Jersey. Ich könne dort einen Kaffee bekommen und eine amerikanische Frau malen.

Das tue ich um so lieber, da es sich bei besagtem "Jersy girl" um meine Blog-Freundin

Vanessa Brantley Newton handelt. Anders als ich, malt sie nicht ein bißchen, sondern ist eine wirkliche Künstlerin und sie ist unglaublich lieb. Ich hoffe, dass sie nach diesem Portrait die Einladung zum Kaffee noch aufrecht hält. Ich habe ein Foto von ihrem Blog als Vorlage genommen, aber ich fürchte, ich bin ihr nicht gerecht geworden.

Ihre Augen sind viel funkelnder, ihre Haut viel samtener und ihr Lächeln viel strahlender.

So weit also zu meiner Reise in die USA.

Vanesa Brantley Newton. Different than me, she doesn´t just paint a little but is a real artist and she is a tremendous nice woman. I hope she will keep the invitation for that coffee alive, after seeing that painting. I took a photo from her blog as model, but I am afraid that painting doesn´t do her justice. Her eyes are more sparkling, her skin looks more velvet and her smile more radiant.

Women of the world (2) India

Hallo ihr Lieben,

ich bin total im Drechselfieber aber ich hab noch ein paar Bilder aus meiner "Women of the world"- Reihe in petto.

Diesmal zeige ich euch eine indische Frau. Ich finde das es ganz außergewöhnlich schöne Frauen in Indien gibt. Und ganz bezaubernd hübsche Mädchen, wie mein indisches Patenkind Dharani. Sie lebt mit ihren Eltern (ihre Mutter ist ebenfalls eine sehr hübsche Frau) und ihren beiden Brüdern in Südindien. Sie wird in 2 Wochen 6 Jahre alt und ist schon jetzt eine kleine Schönheit. Ich hoffe, das ich sie eines Tages besuchen kann.

Hello my friends,

I have the woodturning-fever but I have still some paintings from my series "women of the world" to show you.

This time I show you a womam from India. I think that there are exeptional beautys among the indian Ladys. And some captivating and pretty girls, like my indian fosterchild Dharani. She lives with her parents (Her mother is very pretty too) and her 2 brothers in South India.

In 2 weeks she becomes 6 years old and she is allready a little beauty. I hope, one day I will be able to visit her.

Hallo ihr Lieben,

Gestern war mein 42ster (oh je) Geburtstag,

aber das ist kein Grund zu jammern, wenn man von seinem Freund ein so tolles Geschenk bekommt wie ich. Andere bedauernswerte Frauen mögen Haushaltsgeräte oder Parfum geschenkt bekommen.

Ich bekomme Werkzeug, oder genauer gesagt eine Drechselbank.

Das ist so cool.

Hier oben seht ihr meine ersten beiden Versuche. Zu sehen, wie unter dem Beitel aus einem Stück Holz ein Zauberstab wird ist wirklich wie Magie. Ich habe defenitiv ein neues Hobby. Ich werde Mr Olivander Konkurrenz machen. An Stelle von Phönixfedern werden Eddelsteine eingesetzt.

Und weil die Zauberstäbe so gut funktionieren, habe ich mich auf den Titel der Cosmopolitan gezaubert, na ja so ganz geklappt hat es nicht, denn die Ausgabe ist von 1929 (he he he)

Hello my friends, Yesterday was my 42th (oh dear) Birthday.But that is no reason to complain, when you get an amazing present from your boyfriend, like me. Other deplorabel women may get some kitchen maschines or perfume but I got tools to be precise I got a wood turning lathe.

That is so cool.
On the photo abobe you can see my two first tries.
To see how the turning wood turns into a wand under the chisel is really like magic. I have defenetly a new hobby. I think I will go into a competition with Mr Olivander. Instead of phoenixfeathers I insert jewellery. And because the wands work so fine I performed some magic to put me pon the titel page of the cosmopolitan, well it didn´t work that perfect cause the issue is from 1929 (he he he)

Hallo ihr Lieben,
dieses Bild ist der Start einer kleinen Reihe von Bildern die die Schönheit von Frauen aus aller Welt zeigt, so wie ich es sehe.
Mal ehrlich, ich finde es gibt viel mehr schöne Frauen als Männer, ich auf jeden Fall drehe mich öfter nach einer schönen Frau um, als nach einem schönen Mann.
In diesem Jahr (dem Jahr der Fußball WM) konnte man so viele schöne Frauen aus Südafrika sehen, hier ist nun eine davon.
