Advent is Paris / Paris before Christmas

Meine lieben Freunde,
ich habe seit beinah einem Jahr nichts von mir hören lassen.
Es ist viel geschehen, bei mir und sicher auch bei euch.
Ich hoffe, es geht euch, den Lesern meines Blogs gut und ihr habt eine schöne Adventszeit.

Great architecture and these lamps

Das vergangene Jahr war sehr hektisch und ereignisreich.
Um so mehr genieße ich die Zeit die ich nun im Advent habe, um diese schöne Zeit zu genießen.

The past year was very hectic and eventful.
The more I enjoy the time that I  have  now  to enjoy this beautiful Advent time.

The great christmastree in the famous departmant store "Lafayette".....

Meine liebe Mutti, hat mich zum Geburtstag nach Paris eingeladen.
Eigentlich mag ich es gar nicht im Dezember Geburtstag zu haben, aber ein solches
Geschenk lass ich mir gern gefallen.

My dear mother invited me to travel with her to Paris. This was my birthday present. Actually I detest to have birthday in december, but with such a gift I ´ll change my mind.

Paris ist gerade jetzt ein Traum.
Die Straßen sind mit Lichtern hell erleuchtet.
Die Boulevards sind das reinste Lichtermeer.

Paris Looks like in a dream right now.
The Boulevards shine brightly, with thousands of lights.




The other great store "Au Printemp".......

Die Kaufhäuser, Boutiquen und Parfümerien überbieten sich in der Gestaltung der schönsten Schaufenster.

The department stores, boutiques and perfumeries outdo each other in the design of the most beautiful storefront.

Überall gibt es traumhafte Plätze mit bezaubernden Cafés, überwältigende Gebäude voller Geschichte und voller verführerischer Geschäfte.

Everywhere there are beautiful places with charming cafes, stunning buildings full of history and full of tempting Shops.

Alleine in den großen Kaufhäusern Lafayette und Printemps könnte man einen ganzen Tag  verbringen.

You could easily spend the whole day in the department stores Lafayette and Au Printemps

On Champs Elysee, there is a Little Christmas market with these great little cheese and sausage stand.

 Nach Sonnenuntergang ist die Stadt noch schöner und glitzernder.

After sunset the city is even more beautiful and shiny.

A thousand lights and a view at Arc de Triumphe

Der Eiffelturm, der Triumphbogen und alle bekannten Wahrzeichen sind angestrahlt und sehen
magisch aus.

The Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and all the famous landmarks are illuminated and look magical.

A beautiful place near la Louvre.

Und wenn man vom shoppen tatsächlich genug hat, dann geht man in eines der ausgezeichneten Museen der Stadt....

And if you have enough of Shopping, than you can visit one of Paris exquisit Museums.....

The Louvre is not only one of the worlds most phantastic museums.....

Wie dem unvergleichlichen Louvre, der nicht nur die Mona Lisa und tausende andere Kunstwerke
beherbergt.......

As the incomparable Louvre, where is not only the Mona Lisa and thousands of other pieces of artworks ..........

it used to be the residence of the kings of France...

 sondern in den Appartements des Königs den Flair des alten Kaiserreichs ausstrahlt.

but also the Apartments of the king, where you can still feel the Spirit of the old empire.

....and the representative rooms can still be seen,



Man könnte glauben Napoleon III und Eugenie betreten gleich die Räume.

 

It is allmost as if Napoleon III and Eugenie, could come around the corner.
